Great for a Quiet Vacation

The hotel claims it is a resort but I felt that the amenities were lacking. We had a lot of rain, but instead of relocating the outdoor events which could have been done inside, they just cancelled them instead. Be prepared to spend a lot of money on food. There are no real restaurants or stores nearby so unless you get a cab or catch the bus be sure to bring lots of money to eat. The food was very overpriced and of an average quality.

Take the bus downtown or to the Fish Fry it only costs $1.25 but a taxi will cost between $15-20. Be careful as the bus stops running at sunset.

Not very clean and friendly, but expensive for the quality

The hotel is in a very nice location. Pools and beach are very well taking care of. The hotels halls are smelly and the carpet needs to be changed. My room had some ottomans under the table that were very dirty. The carpet in my room didn't look very clean. All staff at the hotel were not very friendly. They made me feel like if I was asking for a favor every time I asked or requested anything. My experience at the bar was probably the worst. The bar didn't seem to be very busy although I had to wait almost half hour for a drink and at the end was not what I had requested. I had to wait another 10 minutes for the right order. Employees at the kitchen for breakfast had a very bad attitude. One of the Chef's was very upset because her equipment was not working properly and she was given an attitude to all customers. Obviously, it is something normal for them because all supervisors never tried to apologize to customers although they would observe such behaviors from employees.

Great for the price.

Nice Hotel. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Food and restaurants overpriced. Did not eat at the hotel since the food and drinks were overpriced. The beach is nice but the water is not as clear as at the other beaches on the island. The hallways at the hotel are narrow. Internet in the rooms working great but no wi-fi in the room Wi-Fi only in the lobby.

Wonderful vacation

We enjoyed a fantastic vacation here. Rooms facing the water and the beautiful beach and pools make this resort special. The beach is soft white sand, the water is beautiful and we enjoyed all the pools. Plenty of chairs and towels. The unheated pools were refreshing after a day in the sun. All the personnel were warm, friendly and helpful. Meals are a challenge here, they need more affordable options available into the evening hours; the poolside grill and bar would be perfect with happy hour drink specials and food offerings. The interior is well kept, and clean.

Beautiful resort

We just returned from a long weekend at this resort. This hotel was almost perfect for myself, my husband and our 19 year old daughter. This resort has an amazing situation on the water, and the beach and pool receive full sun all day long. There are plenty of chairs and towels are plentiful. The interior spaces are clean and updated. All of the personnel were friendly, professional, and accomodating. The only downside here is the food situation. This hotel could benefit from additional food options that are affordable, with longer hours. We would have enjoyed evenings till 9 or 10 pm at the outside grill with casual items like nachos, appetizers, and drink specials. Instead, we had our own happy hour on our balcony! The inside bar and related areas seem to be underutilized for these purposes. There is a great opportunity for evening cocktailsand munchies in this beautiful setting that is being missed. Additional food and drink options at affordable prices would make this resort just about perfect.

We did enjoy the daquiri shack in front of the hotel, and the Wyndham next door also offer more affordable food options. We did go to the "fish fry" area, I felt it was overpriced, and a little bit scary! Stop at a grocery store on yur way to the hotel and buy some alcohol, mixers and munchies!

Great location but totally overpriced!

Overall we had a great vacation because we have visited the island before and I must say that Sheraton has allot of work to do to get this hotel up to par! Checked in at 2pm and got into the room about 3:30pm. The room was filthy and had no air conditioning. Of course I complained and waited for another room. While waiting we had lunch outside which was so overpriced. Well we didn't get into our room until 7pm. Yes the room was better but that was the whole day gone. I quickly realized that this hotel was price gauging us because my sister was staying next door at a timeshare that had reasonable prices for food and drink! Kudos to that resort who let us set up an acoount all week for food and drink. Our room was cleaned daily and she did a great job but no towels! Yes after coming off the beach and going to get ready for dinner we returned to a room with NO TOWELS. Yes they were qiuck to respond but again this hotel is so mismanaged. I do not blame the workers because they are dealing with what resources are given to them. This hotel could be so great if they only get the right people to manage it! Beach is beautiful and location is great! The Bahamian people are the best! So friendly and nice. Great restraunts outside of resort. I enjoy Nassau so much but next time I will be staying next door at my sisters timeshare!

Best Vacation ever

Hotel was clean, staff was very friendly, the view from the room was just beautiful!!!! I've never seen a beach so clear and bright before. The only thing was the location and having to pay $20 dollars for a taxi everytime we left the hotel. Next time doing the bus into downtown. Way cheaper. Weather was good. The people out there say the best months to go is June and July. It was just an amazing place.

Birthday Celebration

This is my third visit to the Sheraton in Nassau. I love it. Took my grandson this time to celebrate his birthday. He loved it too. I like the location, I can take the bus downtown to shop and eat. Hotel food is a little expensive and not a big variety. Traveling with kids, you really don't want fancy gourmet foods. Needs to be a set time frame for kids to use the central located computers or designate certain ones just for them to use. Overall great vacation and I hope to be back next year.
