Situated on the north coast of Bahrain, this 7-Story, 245 room hotel is located on 20 acres of private beachfront swept around a picturesque lagoon. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel & Spa is only 11 km. from the Airport, 3 km from Manama City Center and just across the road from the Bahrain International Exhibition Center. The hotel offers a wide range of rooms which includes a combination of deluxe, club and suites, offering exclusive services and amenities. In addition, there are 15 3-bedroom villas each with their own private swimming pool. The hotel has some of the finest conference and banqueting facilities available in the Gulf, stunningly appointed and fully equipped with the latest technology. The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain boasts of 600 meters of secluded white sandy beach and a unique private island, extensive fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, Hammam, saunas, in-door squash court and 4 tennis courts. Ritz Carlton over the years

I have been staying at this hotel since before it was called the Ritz Carlton, it just keeps getting better. I remember when the staff was a little rough around the edges but they are polished now. Did not make the spa this trip but did use the workout room, outdoor pool and the lagoon beach. I was expecting a two room suite on a non Club floor but we got a large one room suite on the Club level. I was having a party and really needed the 2 room suite so they closed off a large room in the Club area for our party at a no charge (just food and beverage). Food and drink were a little pricy but no more that at the Hilton here in Kuwait City. I will return and plan to use the club level in the future.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Don't miss visiting Trader Vic's if you like live entertainment, drinks and a cigar all under the same roof. The food was not bad either, but we sat in the bar area and only had appetizers.
