perfect getaway
I'll start with the negatives: my room wasnt ready until 5:30 (check in as at 4). However, I managed to eat lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed the deck in the meantime. WiFi a little spotty, definitely stronger on the deck. Otherwise this place was amazing. The food was a little pricey at the restaurant but was good and portions were good as well (the catch of the day for dinner is probably the best bet!). Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (got a room upgrade and free drinks at the bar for the delay in my room being ready). Room was very clean, good shower. The day bed on the deck go quickly so "reserve" one by putting your towel/sandals on them very early in the morning Location: if you are looking for a resort close to all the action... this is NOT the place for you; however it is easy enough to taxi or bus into Bridgetown. If you want a more secluded getaway, then this hotel is perfect. If you enjoy kite-surfing, paddle-boarding, or wind-surfing - this is a great location

The Suites are Sweet
We stayed in two beach front suites. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. We arrived at 10pm and the front desk was closed. We had a few issues with one of our rooms - bathroom lights burnt out and a/c problems in the bedroom. The hotel, due to our issues, provided breakfast for four the next morning at no charge. The beds are great for enjoying the surf. You can pull an optional cloth cover overhead which was helpful as it was very warm when we were there over Thanksgiving. The staff was very warm and wonderful. The pool was heated and there was ample security so you weren't bothered by beach vendors. It is a much better choice than the larger hotels on the Island.

Kitesurf Paradise
If you are into kitesurfing this is definetely a great boutique hotel. We had an oceaview suite which was on the other side of the street, but not a problem it is not a busy street. Reception/Restaurant was fabulous and helped with whatever we needed and answered all our questions. The food was excellent and the sun We met alot of other couples it was a very laid back atomosphere. The only downfall in our suite the beds were great. Two wonderful days of kitesurfing. whole unit was not air conditioned. The kitchen, living area & bathroom had no a/c. Only the bedroom had a small unit. I had to do my makeup and hair in the room because of the heat. We really did not watch much tv but who wants to sit in heat to do it? There is not much to do in the area and to take a cab it is not cheap $20US dollars to go anywhere, which adds up quick. Next time we visit we will just stay to kitesurf and not venture out. They pretty much have whatever you need. Just a bit quiet at night.

Best holiday ever
Hotel is spot on. Although our room was not directly facing the beach, we had a partial view which was very beautiful. Located at walking distance to the bus stop to catch the local bus to town. We didn't bother with any car rentals or taxis as the 'disco buses' were more fun to be on. Hotel staff were helpful and customer service was excellent. Good value for money and will definitely go there again.

DO NOT BOTHER
Photographs nicely, but in reality not quite as it appears in pictures. This is a 2 star hotel, NOT a 4! First it is in the worst part of town where you will be harrassed by the "Coconut Man" who wants to sell you drugs. He will solicit you once you arrive and while you are eating on the deck/restaraunt from the beach below. Pool is smaller than it seems in pictures. The sheets for the cabanas are not changed daily as they claim. Watch carefully when it rains. My room was clean, however a Irish couple we met has issues with biting ants in their rooms. LOADS OF THEM! The wife was bitten up badly! Another couple from Miami that we met had an issue with a giant roach in the middle of the night. Internet access? Forget it! The signal is so poor and the conceirge is no more than your glorified receptionist you will meet to get your room key. Not helpful. The staff was extremely pleasant (bar and restaraunt) unfortunately don't ask for a manager when your food is served to you frozen. No one knows who is managing the place until some early 20 something shows up an hour later and cannot handle any type of problems. She told my boyfriend that she would not charge us for the frozed breakfast I was served (literaly frozen in the middle, icecube) after we already paid for it. Then she offered to buy us lunch at the hotel. After a frozen breakfast I think we would rather not bother to eat there again. The beach is littered with riffraff, so no one bothered to utilize it. [...]we were able to leave and go to a better hotel that actually well managed and had management, The Crane. Leaving the Silverpoint is what made our vacation! It was the best decision we could have made.

Stay in Christ Church
I spent time with family, enjoyed the beach and weather. The beach side cabanas are lovely. It was very relaxing to lounge on a cabana and sip on local drinks or just nap. I forgot my toothpase. I wished that in addition to suntanning lotions, toiltetries such as tooth paste and mouth wash could be purchased. Although the local store was a short walk from the hotel, it was unpleasant smelling. Internet access is free but a bit dodgy. My room was small. I am below average weight and height. My partner is average. They are a bit skimpy with supplies. Compared to my last trip, I found that there was not a lot to do in the immediate area. Christ Church is residential.
