Comfortable, clean and helpful
My husband and I loved our stay at the Scandic! All staff was very helpful, our room was clean (not huge, but we didn't spend much time there do it was fine, and as expected for a European hotel. The location is amazing- blocks from the train station (even w big rolling suitcases) and RIGHT in the middle of everything you want to see in Brussels. There is a locked baggage room available if you need to drop off bags before checkin, or are wandering for awhile after checkout. Free wifi, breakfast (good, very European style)... Just stay here. Trust me. :)

Great location Great Stay
The Scandic Hotel is literally a 5 minute walk to Grand Central Station; you can grab a train or the metro from Crand Central. The breakfast was so good and the staff was very friendly. I was very happy here.

Good stay
Short walk to Grand Place. Very close to Central Station (direct Train to airport Zaventem, Metro). My room had a window into the "lobby", so no fresh air possible but also no noise from the street. Rooms small but comfortable with all I need.

Great value

Belga Queen. A vert nice brasserie with reinvented Belgian must eats in a great spot. The place was an old bank and you can smoke cigars downstairs between the vaults!

Very good experience. My room was not to the street and therefore it was quiet enough. Breakfast buffet excellent. Location best if you come to center by train (recommendable).

Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent service. Great proximity to Centraal Station and Grand Place. Interiors are in dire need of touch-ups, but otherwise it was clean and comfortable. Avoid the restaurant, since dinner is a set menu of microwaved and refrigerated dishes. Overall we were satisfied and would recommend to others, because the "issues" listed above are easily ignored and avoided.

Generally very good (highly recommendable) hotel with impecable cleanliness and service (excellent hot buffet breakfast, coffee and tea making facilities). However, last time I encountered some negligent and careless cleaning staff not really performing their work 100% (missing towels, tea etc.). Hotel was full while only one of two lifts worked which caused some bottlenecks.

THREE NIGHTS IN BRUSSELS
Spent our last three nights in Europe at this hotel, mainly to see the sights in Brussels and explore the city. Very nice, clean modern hotel geared mainly toward the business traveler--very comfortable rooms and facilities.Very nice, helpful staff.

The central location, good breakfast
The central location, good breakfast and cleanliness compensated a little for the fact that this very small and quite dark single room was over-priced -- certainly not worth 175 euros for a single room.

Hotel Saver
Great Location!
The location was perfect for easy walking access to the Grand Place. shops, restaurants and cafes as well as Centraal Station. The hotel is nice and the staff friendly. The room is small by American standards, but suited our needs just fine. As did the ample breakfast buffet that included bacon and scrambled eggs. Would stay again.
