- Hotel de Flandre is located centrally, just several metres from the main attractions of Ghent: the old harbor (Korenlei en Graslei), the impressive Castle of the Counts, the Design Museum, the Meat House and Sint-Michielsbridge where you can admire the tree towers of Ghent: the Saint-Bavo's Cathedral, the Church of Saint-Nicolas and the Belfry Tower.

- In the hotel we have a small meeting room, suitable for 10-15 people, as well as a room for receptions and banquets. We can also organize meetings in the adjoining building where they have bigger meeting rooms. All meeting rooms are equipped with daylight and all the necessary didactic material.

Low quality, overall
This is a low-quality hotel. I travel to Europe a lot and stayed at this hotel for a conference. On the plus side, the hotel has a very nice breakfast and the staff is pleasant. Its location is very convenient. On the downside, the shower in the my room had NO hot water. I asked the maid and she said this room did not have hot water for the shower. Other conference participants had to change their rooms for various reasons. Also, they charge E10 for a 24 hr internet connection, It did not work! It kept on cutting out and is not strong enough to use Skype. Other conference participants had the same problem throughout the hotel. This is very annoying for a business traveler (and probably for vacationers wanting to get in touch with home, etc.)

See the castle. Just go out of the hotel. Turn right on Poel. Walk to the river and you will see it on the left.

It might have been the holiday season (end July), but there was an absolute lack of staff. Reception lady was very efficient, though not very hospitable. Deciding to have a drink in the bar, we sait down there for 15 minutes with absolutely no staff there. In the end, we went to the reception desk and asked for our drinks there. And yes, it was the same lady and again she was efficient but not hospitable. In the morning upon check-out there was a note at the reception desk stating 'back in a minute'. After 15 minutes of waiting we decided to leave and let the credit card take care of everything. The hotel rooms are quite acceptable and knowing now that I need not expect a warm and friendly welcome etc, I would stay there again.

Très bien tout simplement. Cour sympa pour un bon petit déjeuner en plein air si le temps le permet. Bon accueil.

Très bien situé en plein centre
Très bien situé en plein centre de la vieille ville, avec parking souterrain public à 200 m. Chambre correcte et spacieuse, grande salle de bain avec toutes les commodités. Très bon buffet au petit déjeuner. Très bon accueil en Français. A 5 minutes de ce petit bijou de centre ville ! A recommander si l'on veut se faire plaisir.

Hélas pour nou seul bémol et de
Hélas pour nou seul bémol et de taille, le ménage était très approiximativement fait puisque nous avons trouvé dans la salle de bain des "choses" diverses ne nous appartenant pas et une bonne dose de poussière de ci de là. Insonorisation moyenne avec la chambre au dessus et odeur tenace de désodorisant dans la chambre.
