The hotel also offers Dry cleaning, Lobby and Reception.
IMPORTANT: Children under 18 years old are required to present identification at check-in and must be accompanied by both parents, guardians, or have permission of the Juvenile Court, in case of travelling with others. In case one of the parents is not traveling with them, they must show his/her parent permission to travel with the person accompanying them.

The Staff is Top Notch
This hotel is on the beach in Impenema. Our room was small and had no view, but it was clean and reasonable in price. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had a complicated day of travel ahead and were not really sure how to go about catching our bus and ferry. The staff had maps, schedules and were very knowledgeable. They really made us feel welcome and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to a friend.

The restaurant on the beach in front of the hotel has wonderful food and a great dining experience. A perfect spot to watch the sunset.

nice beach hotel
If you want a hotel right on the arpoador beach (the east end of ipanema beach), have breakfast looking at two brothers, and you are okay to walk 10-15 minutes to the center of ipanema, then this hotel is your best choice. If you want to go out and immediately join the crowd in ipanema, then you would be better off to get a hotel in the ipanema area.

Hidden charges
Hotel Location is great, but rooms facing the main street have windows which can't isolate street noise. Doubt i will ever stay there again.Additionally,at check out hotel comes up with a 10% hotel service charge, i.e, gratuity. i was able to negotiate only 5% but in reality they did not deserve it.[...]

very good; then strange
wonderfully situated right on the beach; small but clean rooms. however, when checking out a request (handwritten on the bill) for an approximately 10% "service tax". when pressed, the front desk said it was a discretionary tip. we did not honor what seemed to be an attempt to extract additional cash.

Perfect Location at a Great Price
Guide Books reported the Aproador Hotel as a moderate priced hotel in a good location and that is absolutely the truth -- except to say that it is a GREAT LOCATION...right between Copacabana and Impanema Beaches...close to many of the attractions of Rio. Rooms were very basic but clean and hotel had great service -- English at the front desk too.

There are many "kilo" restaurants in the area and the street vendors have great safe and tasty food. The hotel restaurant is overpriced and I don't recommend it other than for the included breakfast which is very good.
