Novetel Hotel
When we arrived we were told the room wasn't ready but would be in 30 minutes. 1.5 hours later we were given a room. When we arrived in the room it had not been cleaned from the previous tenant. I called the front desk and also told the maid. We finally were moved to a clean room. The hotel was nice but a little over priced.

Typical Novotel, only a little less.
Novotels are generally pretty consistent throughout the planet. This one was a little on the small side, including room size. No pool, no real amenities, the restaurant is okay, the bar is poorly stocked. Good for a short stay.

A Serviceable Rio Hotel
A credible option for new years in Rio if one is not interested in $850/night - 5 night minimums at all the hotels in Ipanema and Copacabana, however transport to and from is an issue. This is a business hotel that is super close to the downtown Santos Dumont Airport and a short walk to downtown. It is next to an Ibis hotel as well.

Awesome!!!
Close to Airports, Copacabana, Ipanema, the City, it was actually closed to everything. Excellent price, super new, good food and attention to details plus free and good internet connection. A+

If you stay on this hotel, you have to go to colombo's cafeteria, which is extremely beautiful and the food is awesome.
