Promenade Princess Copacabana

We love staying here for following reasons: 1. Only 2 blocks from the beach 2. Access to banks to convert dollars to real 3. 24 Hour Restuarant around the corner, for those late nights 4. 2 blocks to access to metro station - Cantegalo 5. Room well cleaned with air conditon 6. Small kitchen and living room separate from sleeping quarters. 7. Overall, value is worth the stay and friendly staff

The hotel was great. It's located just a couple of blocks from Copacabana beach and Ipanema is a very short taxi ride or easy walk away. There are has shops, restaurants and a great tourist information place (Blame it on Rio) within one block. The amenities were nice with sun loungers by the pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna and gym. The breakfast was always fresh and had some really great food. The staffs are helpful and spoke English, which was really helpful and sometimes a rarity in Brazil. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

[...]Now, I am suggesting this hotel, PROMENADE-PRINCESS COPACABANA-RIO DE JANEIRO-BRAZIL, for other travelers. Great location. Short walks can get the travelers anywhere they want. The hotel is great for the price. I had a one bed/studio, which is perfect for a single, a couple, and should be fine for a couple with one kid. The staff is friendly, helpful, but they should improve more in English language. Very special thanks to manager [...] he was very friendly, sincere, and concern.

It is a great place to stay! Thumbs up for the staff, they proved to be very helpful and very friendly. I should also mention that the hotel is located near by Metro station and in a safe neighborhood and just couple of blocks away from the beach.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The front desk personnel spoke English and were helpful with wakeup calls and arranging taxis. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The wireless internet access was simple to access and adequate speed. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of foods and was quite good. Even though I don't care about the beach, it is only 2 blocks to Copacabana. This hotel was muich nicer and similarly priced to hotels I used on previous trips. I will definitely be back in the future.

We stayed at Princess Promenade for Carnaval Feb 14-20. The staff was able to help us take the subway which was only 2 blocks away (Cantagalo stop) and they set up a trip to a soccer match at Maracana Stadium. It was a great experience witnesses the passion Brazil has for soccer and the stadium is impressive. Copacabana beach was 2 blocks away and since the beach is public it is not necessary to have an oceanfront hotel in my opinion. I do not recommend going to the beach during carnaval as it is extremely crowded and very hot. After carnaval it is very pleasant, the water is cold but feels good on a hot summer day and there are people selling anything you could possible need for the beach at a good price. The staff also was able to recommend a good club to go to in Lapa which had a great live samba band and billards on the second floor. Overall we had an amazing trip.

This is what the Brazilians call an Apart-Hotel, which is basically a small appartment, kitchen, livingroom and bedroom. Don't expect to prepare a steak in the kitchen as there are no pots or pans. Anyhow, why prepare food in your room when there are so many good restaurants and bakeries around the hotel? Also, they provide quite a good breakfast in the morning on the pool floor. The "Rabanada" (Brazilian french toast) is to die for! Staff is excellent and will help you out whenever they can. I asked for a late check-out at 4 pm which was not a problem.

Nice location close to Capacabana Beach and shopping, clean and big rooms with kichenette and separate bedrooms, nice swimming pool, restaurant and very friendly staff. What is missing? Maybe a terrace with Copacabana view.

Hotel ben posizionato a Copacabana in una traversa dell'avenida principale, quindi tranquillo, ma con tutti i servizi, bar, ristoranti, spiaggia a pochi passi. Stanza ampie e confortevoli, dotati di tutti i confort. Unica nota negativa i condizionatori ancora vecchio stile, quindi non a split. In un hotel di questo livello e di questo prezzo, non e' concepibile, anche se a Rio sono ancora molto diffusi. Colazione nella media Brasiliana.
