The hotel is reasonable, nice lobby gardens etc, the bar a bit expensive, compared to other bars restaurants in the city, breakfast wasnt the best, bacon sauages not very hot!, Room very clean although a bit dated,Staff very good though

Not the best!
They are out to get you!. No complimentary drinking water. found very small glass bottle just enough for one gulp and got charged 2 euro! Ordered a glass of white wine offered a half bottle of wine. When the bill came It was 34 Euros. twice as much as the meal! Bit far from the center.

Let me see....The hotel is very big, comparing with the breakfast hotel size horrible. On weekdays it is very crowded, horrible! The room size is OK, however the furniture must be at least 25years old. Basicly this hotel coulb be max 3star!!!! There was 2 holes on the towel, the bed is extraordinary uncomfortable. The staff is very helpful, but if you expect a Kempinsky quality as I did, you will be very dissappointed. The value for money is OK, but.....

Pleasant Hotel
Despite having stayed in the non-renovated rooms we had a pleasant experience. The hotel and the rooms were clean with very courteous staff. Our only problem was the strong cigarette smoke and smell in the lobby which made breathing difficult. Breakfast was plentiful with a good selection and variety. Location is not far from city center, about 15 minutes by taxi.

Kempinsky Sofia had been a hotel
Kempinsky Sofia had been a hotel of my preference in this city for almost a decade now. Do not expect a breath-taking Kempinski posh-standard that you would meet in Germany or Austria. Consider however its very competitive pricing too (last time i've paid like 50EUR per night per double, with a gorgious buffet breakfast). In this respect, the hotel offers one of the best values for money I could ever name - and I had been travelling quite a lot and visiting lots hotels of 4-5 stars. It will stay my favorite.

Almost the best hotel you can
Almost the best hotel you can find in Sofia and the breakfast is great. Service good too. And the price is not high if you can book 1 week earlier. It's a good choice.
