Good location, great views, good price!
My husband and I stayed here in September 2011. The Inn has friendly staff, GREAT outdoor hot tub (excellent views fo Mt. Rundle!), and an indoor pool and hot tubs. There are two restaurants and a pub on site, and our room was really spacious! Everything was very clean and neat, the Inn itself is kind of a maze BUT they rpovide very good written directions to highlights such as the hot tub, and they have signs. Read the signs as you walk through the hallways, and you will easily find your way to where you would like to go. Any confusion, just ask the frotn desk! We would stay here again.

Short walk from hotel
Bumpers Beef house is directly across the street next to Bumpers Lodge. It doesn' look like much, but has an amazing atmosphere (fancy yet casual) and excellent food. Price for a plate between $13-30 on average. Highly recommended!

Really old and durty
Sink dirty and yellowed, water dripping from the bathroom and the toilet did not work. Yellowed and torn sheets. Hall noise from employees (new employees were trained). I do not not choose this hotel again.

GREAT VALUE-PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!
We read some reviews that were a little iffy and didn't know what to expect but for the price we found [...] we thought it wouldn't hurt for one night. The counter staff were friendly enough and the outside of the complex looked well kept. There was heated underground parking which was great. The complex was huge and for it's size we found the hallways to be clean and in decent condition, some scuffs on the lower part of the walls in the halls but to be expected. I found it a bit of a maze to get around but my husband had no problem. When we opened the door to our room, we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was big with 2 comfortable, clean queen beds. The mattress was basic but each bed had a downfilled mattress cover which made it SO cozy. The bathroom was clean with a nice, deep soaker tub and NO signs of mold or gunge (the toilet paper was scratchy but you can't have everything. Sufficient towels (4 lrg and 2 hand towels). There was a sink in the full bath and also one sink outside the bathroom. Coffe/tea, small fridge, hairdryer, cable tv, we didn't check to see if the Wifii worked so I can't remember if it was complimentary but assumed it would be. There was a portable fan which I appreciated as I get hot at night. It would have been nice it had a microwave, and we didn't know see ice machines anywhere. The carpet wasn't new but at least I didn't feel like I needed to keep my shoes on. There were NO musty smells, mold or any signs that the hotel was poorly kept. Some reviews said that it was really outdated and worn but although it's not 2011, it's not 70's decor either. I've definitely been in more worn, outdated, dirty, smelly hotels. There was also a large, clean, heated outdoor pool/hotub and one inside as well although we only used the outside one. There were a lot of people occupying it the night before but we had it all to ourselves the next morning. They even allowed us to check out late for no extra charge. The only thing we found was that the walls seemed to be thin and when we stood outside our own room, we could hear our tv. We saw a lot of teens in the hall on our way to dinner but we didn't hear them at all when we were in our room, so management may have purposely put them in rooms away from ours so we could have quiet, which if they did was very much appreciated. We had an awesome time and found this hotel great value for the money and would definitely stay again.

Inns of Banff
Easy access to highway 1 to most of the hikes and to the Iceparkway, and away from the "downtown" wilder atmosphere of several blocks away. A nice restaurant for modestly priced meals, but close to higher class as desired. Great hot-tub.

Short drive from hotel
If you want a well located hotel to enjoy the Banff Park at a reasonable price, and with a car, this is an excellent choice. Banff does not have a National Park flavor unlike Lake Louise, so paying top price to be several blocks closer to "downtown"only supports having no car.
