Orbitz never told us the pool was closed

We arrived to find out the pool was closed and let me tell you if you have ever traveled with small children you know what I'm talking about with "not" being able to go and swim. When we contacted Orbitz to let them know we were not happy to find out after arriving there was no pool, especially when that was something we specifically searched for when looking into staying here. Orbitz did not help us at all with this, they just explained we were under a "no refund" contract so beware when booking with them because anything can change with the hotel and they don't seem to care when working directly with you. The hotel Manager on the other hand was able to call Orbitz for us and reverse the charges so we could then just settle with the hotel directly and at a better rate because of the incontinences we had experienced. We will never use Orbitz again but we would consider staying at this hotel in the future just based on the customer service from the staff and not to mention giving us water park passes to compensate for the lack of a swimming pool. Hotel all in all was great, thanks to the great staff there.

The Grand is a very nice hotel, clean, spacious, and with excellent grounds. The restaurant is good, but expensive. It's right at the center of the cultural district, with museums, shopping, and dining within easy walking distance. Rooms are very good, many with excellent views, but could use updating. Parking and Internet are extra costs, and there are no refrigerators in-room. Staff is hit-and-miss: most are quite courteous and professional, others are clueless kids. Overall, about the best hotel you'll find in Kelowna, although more expensive than it should be.
The biggest complaint is that the lake waterfront is extremely noisy in the evenings (especially on weekends). Lots of loud music and crowds, which is inescapable anywhere along the lakefront, and the hotel is not well insulated—door closings are equally loud.
So, a very nice hotel with good rooms and service, but expensive and noisy. If you're looking for peace and quiet, stay away from downtown.

Hotel was not great and not bad, just OK. It was for an overnight stay with an early flight the next day. Half of the room had been remodeled and was nice and then it seems as if they just stopped. Would have given one more star if they had finished the room update. Hotel is close to airport and was perfectly adequate for an overnight stay.

Great hotel, modern, comfort and super clean. Be warn and don't book the cheapest rooms at Orbitz because they are reserved for handicap. The day I checked in the staff said that I was the 4th person to have reserve the handicap room. I hope Orbitz will change this soon enough. The staff was super nice and upgraded us to a Suite on the 4th floor for free. We had a nice room with a view of the golf course and Mission Hills Winery.
Not much to do in Westbank but it is only 15 minutes from Kelowna and very close to Mission Hills and many other Wineries.
Check out the fruit stands and wineries a long the way to Penticton and Oliver.

This was a very nice hotel. The room was just as nice as some of the Fairmont properties we stayed at in Canada. It was a perfect stopping point between the Canadian Rockies and Vancouver. The town of Westbank is not that exciting and the wine in this area is not that great, but we were happy with the hotel. There is a shopping center with lots of food options.

This hotel is located along the major highway passing through Kelowna, Harvey Highway. The hotel is nice, and clean especially their staff are all very accommodating and friendly, willing to go extra mile in providing information on all our inquiries. The room is clean and big with a separate small living area where there is another LCD TV aside from another one within the bedroom. There is one thing that is lacking is that they do not have their own dining facility, although a restaurant is adjacent to its main lobby. I would be glad to stay there again if in case Kelowna will be visited in the future.

Advised Receiption that I had not been out of the room for two days and that I wanted the sheets changed.
Sheets were not changed and when I called I advised that I was not happy about it. Housekeepings tone was rude at best.

I was just at the hotel over night i wasn't planning on staying in a hotel but i need a place to sleep, the staff was very helpfull and friendly. They got me checked in and checked out quickly and efficently. The only complaint i had was that the room was a little noisy cause it was on the ground level near the parking lot. and the room didn;t smell super fresh.

Family friendly motel in wrong location

This motel would be perfect for a family with younger children, since it has a large, central play area with grass and playsets. The interior of the room had been somehwat updated, but the bed seemed old. Also, I couldn't lock the outside screen door to the courtyard, which prevented me from getting fresh air on a warm day. The motel is situated at one of the busier intersections in town, and my room was probably less than 30' from traffic. The only good aspect was the fitness room, even though the equipment was old.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel however they did tell us that it was a non-smoking hotel and the room that we were given someone had definitely been smoking in. They did offer to trade rooms however we were settled in and decided to stay. We had a bit of a problem with one of the young men looking after the pool and slide. He closed it early because he said our grandchild was not following the rules. He did however make it his mission to watch the boys VERY carefully, going up and down the stairs as they rode the slide to make sure the did exactly as he said. I was there supervising them all the time. The previous day a woman was in charge and let the boys have fun as long as they were safe.

Good Value for price

The price was great the room clean and the bathroom was new.The only complaint would be that we made our reservations a couple months in advance for a 5 night stay,and we were on the front side facing Highway 97. Having the window open when you are watching TV or sleeping is out of the question.

Wonderful view and convenient proximity to vineyards and town. We could have a morning of wine tasting, lunch at a winery, then have a nap before heading back out. Comfortable!

The 4 star rating was incorrect. The hotel was outdated and felt like a 2 star hotel. Hotel was located in a very remote location and was very difficult to find.

Fair, but not what was described

The Inn was just like a motel. We were induced into booking this place due to false information given by Orbitz. The rating of the hotels given Orbitz is not an official rating of the hotel industry, sort of like false advertising since we cannot compare with other travel websites.
In addition to this, it was said on the booking page that a complimentary continental breakfast is included, but when we reached the motel, the staff said that it has been almost 3 years that they have not had it and we cannot do anything about it.
Luckily we know how to enjoy ourselves and not letting these things throwing us off, but it was not pleasant to know that we were not offered what we paid for. Orbitz should review its hotel descriptions to avoid future misleading sales, or else we will definitely avoid booking for it.

Ok rooms, but they don't have inside hallways - no privacy in patio or balcony. It's right on the lake, so it would be nice if had both the view and privacy - but no. Would not be worth it if in a lesser location.
Clean and well maintained - rooms made up quickly and well.
Affiliated with larger hotel next door that has nice outdoor dining and boardwalk (they share the fairly nice pool/jacuzzi in front of this hotel).

not as good as before

rooms was not as nice as previous- not sure if we were on a different floor- kinda dated. Warning- the house keeping will throw out anything lying around. Also alot of the people in and around the hotel, including front desk come off as pretentious and unfriendly... like families are not the favoured clientele- seemed more business orientated.
