Stay away
FIFTY MINUTES TO CHECK IN! The clerk did not know how to sign in on the computer and argued that I had no reservation, even though I had my paperwork and he couldn't log in. He told me I would have to pay him and there was no such thing as prepaying online. He refused to call anyone for help with the computer or to confirm my reservation; I called Econo Lodge customer service - they called him twice and still he argued with them and me, and couldn't figure out the computer. Finally, he agreed. The room was cold and took 2 hours to reach 20 C/70F, and the noise from the other rooms was awful. Lots of college students. Dingy, stained. Stay away. Not worth it.

modest but satisfactory motel
the location was fantastic! Enjoyed the view of downtown Kamloops and enjoyed walking up the hill to the motel. Every grocery store within three blocks, and several restaurant options. The room was clean, quiet, and had plenty of hot water. Housekeeping did not visit every day; no fresh linen and no toilet paper at one point.

Good Rest Stop
The Kamloops Econolodge is a good budget motel. It was clean and recently refurbished (from appearances. The fixtures- desk, chair etc were all very nice. The room had a balcony with a seat. The restaurant next door had great authentic chinese food.
