They have slipped egregiously

The insulting, disinterested, condescending, rude and impotent staff was a disgrace. The advertised room included a whirlpool bath, wifi, use of their kyacks, a kitchenette and a fireplace. However, the kitchen was a toaster and a coffee maker; the fireplace was a rotating red light on cheesecloth; the whirlpool and wifi were inoperable, and, one hour before dark they refused to let us use the kayaks. The outdoor jacuzzi was broken and we were frequently disallowed from using the swimming pool. The staff was not authorized to address any of these deficiencies, and when they finally did, our stay went from bad to worse. We received lots of excuses but no apologies. An operations staff member backed out of a parking space in his electric cart without looking, and the only reason I was not run down was because my wife pulled me out of the way. Though I was scuffed, bruised and bloddied, there was no apology whatsoever. I have stayed here twice before and formerly loved this place. I have recommended it to many people–never again. I am so disappointed. At least the restaurant is still superb.

The restaurant staff must be under different management. The staff is courteous and efficient. The menu boasts local specialties prepared very well. The salt water tanks are beautiful as are its residents.

Junior Suite?

We've stayed at PS before and enjoyed it. Well maintained, good service and staff. Accommodated us even though we showed up a day early (booking error - my fault). Restaurant above average. Went to nearby Englishman River Falls, Rathtrevor Beach and Sandcastle competition all on the same day - all excellent. Only complaint: you can't put a toaster in an ordinary guest room and call it a Junior Suite - I mean, come on!

Rathtrevor Beach - the tide goes way out and it's fun to walk out over the huge beach.

Good Resort for the price

We went to this resort to Elope and had a wonderful time. A few erks though are there aren't microwaves in any junior suites, house keeping does not come everyday to tidy that is left up to you and only 2 of there 5 bbq's worked. All in all though a very comfortable resort just far enough away from the other 50 around the corner that you can relax. Tons or beach that would be definatly the best part of the trip. Also they say there are no ocean view junior suites but that is not true you may not have a full view but there is a definate partial in all of them.

Beautiful location and surroundings

We stayed here because it was the closest location to our friends' in Nanoose Bay. We usually stay at Tigh-na-Mara but opted to try something different. The resort was quite nice, and we would have liked to spend more time here and take advantage of their amenities, but we were pressed for time, and also have an infant so that makes it hard too. Their restaurant has an amazing fish tank for kids to be entertained with. The only downside was that the room walls are incredibly thin and we can here all our neighbours' conversations.

Good Vacation Experience

The block that we stayed in is relatively new and the approach to our unit was very clean and well maintained. The parking facility immediately across from our unit was very handy; however, there was a problem with water leakage from the roof, which was being worked on while we were there. The unit (one bedroom, full kitchen, 1-1/2 bath, washer and dryer, comfortable dining area, large living room and outdoor patio with furniture) was impeccably clean, tastefully decorated and well furnished. We found the unit very comfortable and quiet. The well stocked kitchen suited our special dietary needs. There is a wonderful view of the ocean (Craig Bay) from the living room window and of the development which has a park like setting. This is a very beautiful spot, with lots of special amenities (pool, exercise room, spa, walking trails, etc.) for the guests to enjoy. We even had a visit by a baby deer!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

There is a large community park a short drive from the resort which is located on the ocean. It is a beehive of activity for sports (swimming, baseball, volleyball, etc.), large children's playground and waterpark, biking and walking or just parking and watching the sunset. An absolute beautiful spot.
