Not the Best Western

Were were put in a room next to the kitchen that had pipes bumping the wall late into night and started up first thing in the morning. When we asked to move to a quieter room we were told that there were no other rooms. The resturant food was poor to bad (my wife did not even finish hers, mine tasted like it came from a microwave dinner). I would have given this 2 even with the bad experience due to the excellent pool and close location to some very nice walks but had to balance the other rating of 5 that is not possible for this place even if every thing was perfect.

The girl at the desk was so knowledgable and helplful. The great room was lovely. We loved the down comforters. Bath furnishings and towels were great. We were VERY pleased with this motel. Best pillows I have been on. Having a great desk work space and wi-fi access in the room was so helpful. We didn't use the pool or spa, so we can't comment. Coffee pots in the room and in the lobby was appreciated.

Ramada Valemount is located off of Yellowhead Highway 5 approximately 200 miles north of Kamloops and 157 miles south east of Prince George. This newly renovated hotel is located just 1 hour away from Jasper.
In the Valemount area you can take in many outdoor recreational activities including whitewater rafting, golfing, fishing, hiking ATVing, horseback riding and viewing of the Chinook Salmon run.

This hotel was a mixed bag. The room was nice and clean, but there were a number of things missing, some of which were obviously present in other peoples' rooms (e.g. towel rack, "do not disturb" sign ...) Also, it wasn't well insulated. People coming and going woke us up throughout the night. Also, a lady came to try and clean our room before we checked out. Good breakfast though!

Try to avoid this hotel. We stayed 2 nights when travelling from Jasper to Vancouver. The motel is old and needs to be refurbished. We relocated twice in the hotel. First we received a smoking room, the second room was located next to the ice machine which made a lot of noise. The breakfast was an absolute nightmare. The bread was still frozen. Yoghurt was on short supply as management had maximised the number of yoghurts per day. The lady in charge insisted in kicking everybody out at 9 am.

Worst experience ever at this hotel. The room wasn't much, good enough to sleep in for the night that's it. The towels were mismatch and well used
The restaurant was a HUGE disappointment to say the least. Very incompetent staff, terrible food and we had to wait over an hour for our eggs and toast breakfast. We would have left if the breakfast hadn't been included in the rooms price. The meal the night before was terrible and the staff didn't think enough to not charge us for the meal that I sent back because it taseted like it came out of a can.
All in all, I would rather sleep in my car and eat a bag of peanuts for breakfast lunch and supper than stay here EVER again.

The check-in was absolutely horrible. We arrived at about 11 pm, and no one was at the desk. We had to wait for almost 20 mins before anyone came out. After that, we got the keys to a room that was not cleaned. We went back, and got keys to another room, but this was occupied by another guest. Finally, we got the keys to a room that was decent. Overall, the check-in was extremely poor, and it took 45 mins to get settled in.
The hotel manager did not have any information about whether we had pre-paid or not. This added more delays.

We only stayed for one night while on our way home from our holiday. Location was wonderful, staff was very friendly. Room was "quite" small. The hotel is old and could use some updating but for a night with kids - works. It has a pool - slightly on the cold side. nice hot tub. Beds were comfortable.
