Vancouver celebration
My wife and I spent 2 weeks in Alaska and the Yukon Territory in celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary. Our trip terminated in Vancouver with a one night stay at the Four Seasons. It was a beautiful hotel and the service unsurpassed. When we went to our room, it was nice but the view outside the window was of a building across the street. I went to the front desk and showed them my paperwork [...] saying that I was getting a room with a panoramic view. It was my 30th wedding anniversary and I wanted something a little more special for my wife than a view of another office building. The desk clerk was extremely nice and provided us with a free upgrade to a 27th floor suite that had a fantastic view of the harbor and mountains. It was by far the nicest hotel room either my wife or I had ever stayed in.We then went out for dinner and some touring around the city. When we came back a few hours later, there was a tray of strawberries and chocolate with a note wishing us a happy anniversary. What a nice surprise!Besides those two particular items, the concierge service was very helpful. The hotel's central location in the city was a plus in that it was an easy walk to Gastown and some terrific restaurants. And for getaway day, the train to the airport has a stop right across the street from the hotel. The Four Seasons is the hotel for any of my further travels to Vancouver!

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
A taxi to the airport from the Four Seasons will cost you about $35 and take 25 minutes. Take the train. They run every 12 minutes, it costs $2.50, and get to the airport in the same 25 minutes.

Disappointing Value For Money
I am a frequent global business traveller and always stay in 4/5 star hotels. First, the really good: the downtown location is excellent, staff is excellent, and the bar/restaurant is excellent. Everything is clean and functional, as would be expected. The bad: price is far too steep for what you get. The room is nice, but I've stayed in much nicer hotels in Vancouver for much less. Be Wary: the "panoramic" room means that when you look at your normal, single wall window, that if you "look left and look right, then you have a panoramic view". The result was a feeling of being underhanded; especially having stayed nearby in true panoramic hotel rooms before (floor to ceiling glass across two walls). Although the hotel is very nice, I will not stay here again on my future visits to Vancouver (we live 100km away in Victoria, BC)

Great Hotel and Location
Our family stayed at this hotel during the Paralympics. It was a very nice hotel with great service and friendly staff. The location was central to the skyway train from the airport, as well as the bus route.

My experience at Vancouver Four Seasons
Quality hotel, quiet, Four Seasons quality a bit on a modern side. Recently renovated. Yes, I would stay at this hotel again. Service was fine but not Four Seasons quality. No problems during stay.

Heart of the city
The location is just unbeatable. even though you are not renting a car, you will be fine. There are bars, clubs, pizza houses and cafes within 5 minutes walk. The hotel is located on top of the City Center train station, which can take you to the Richmond and Airport YVR within 30minutes For shopping, Pacific Center is next door and a large convenient store on the other side of street, as well as other boutiques. The Robson (sp?) street isn't far either.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
If you plan to just visit the city, you don't need a car for this hotel since the commute is just so easy. We have been to Chinatown, Richmond shopping malls by train, $2.50 to $3.00 per ticket and it's valid per hours, not per trip. Saving you $50 per day for car rental and $20 a day for parking.
