Great spot near the Convention Center
The Marriott Pinnacle was a great location easy walking distance from the Convention Center. The in-hotel restaurant and bar had good food and service. The rooms were comfortable, and the lap-swimming pool was a great plus!

Vancouver Marriot Pinnacle
The Marriot in Vancouver was a great place to stay. The employees were very nice and helpful with directions to various places of interest.

Less than pleased
1.) At checkin there was only one of two rooms available 2.) Came back later, no rooms available. Clerk spelled other parties name wrong and it took the clerk a while to find the room. 3.) No bottled water in room. Was told there would be some there. 4.) Phone did not work well very staticy even after changeout. 5.) refrigerator did not work, maint. took it away but never replaced it. 6.) Told clerk at checkin that I would be self parking but she never gave me a parking pass. Consequently I received a ticket from the parking garage for my parking illeagally. 7.) Requested a floor with access to the concierge lounge, didn't have any left. 8.) Told front desk person of my less than great experience at this hotel. Was told they have over 400 guest and this was the only complaint. (I really wanted to hear that!)

Time-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Only rent a car for a couple of days to visit attractions outside of the city to save on expenses and there are lots of rental agencies downtown. When factoring in the high cost of hotel parking ($20-25 per day), its cheaper to take cabs.

Pricey but convenient
The room was clean and comfortable, but the extra charges for the parking, the expensive food and the expensive internet were a bit prohibitive. The concierge was extremely helpful and informative and the location was perfect for the Downtown attractions. It was easy to drive to based on Google maps directions. The family had rooms on many different floors, but having limited access via elevator to other floors was a bit incovenient given that the wedding party was staying at the hotel.

Top notch hotel accomodations!
We arrived at the hotel, on foot after a full day of car, air, and public transport to beautiful Vancouver. The staff and concierge at the hotel were a very helpful, courteous, professional yet down to earth group to deal with. The hotel is only a block from the Waterfront, a block from the Skytrain, and a short walk to the Water Taxi service (located next to the Convention Center on the water). A very short walk will take you to great restaurants and bars. We thoroughly enjoyed Vancouver!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Use the concierge to direct you to local attractions, which are abundant. We took a the water bus at WAterfront Station, then public bus up to beautiful Grouse Mountain for a very small fee and came back the same way. Very good and cheap public transportation, just watch timetables.

What a view!
I felt welcomed from first moment to last. All staff were delightful; the concierge service was especially helpful.I enjoyed a spectacular harbor view from the 27th floor. The location is ideal to all downtown and harbor attractions.

Short walk from hotel
If you don't have too much luggage, take the Canada line from the airport to hotel for about 3 dollars; it is brand new and much quicker than any shuttle service.
