2 nites and a bite
Not the Ritz, but dollar for dollar the stay was pleasent...except for the clerk who doesn't seem to like her job or travelers or life or something. We felt like we parked in the next town and had to walk pretty far ( T.G. it wasn't raining ). Pool was O.K. and the evening attendant turned out to be much nicer than Mrs. Evil

Short drive from hotel
dining around town was ok, the people are all friendly but we had a kitchen in the room that worked out quite well. We used the caldron to cast away Mrs. Evil

Quality stay
Convinent for taking bus to downtown Victoria. Bit of challenge to get into the parking lot. Close to shopping and a quality family restaurant. By riding the bus to the Royal BC Museum we saved money and did not have to wait.

very noisy and unable to sleep
my room(#213) was located on the very busy 4-lane local street,Douglas ,which has very heavy traffic all night long. The room has no insulation from outside automobile and truck'engine sound. I've been using Orbitz service for hotel reservation and this is the first time my life unable to sleep because of noisy sound from the street. No air-conditionand squeaky foot step sound from upstairs can be tolerable for $85 per night in Victoria.I urge you drop this hotel from your list. Probably the other half of hotel rooms ,not facing toward Douglas,may be not quite noisy. Again It was my first horrible experience. SHIN LEE
