Salty's , the mussels are great. The restaurant is located on the waterfront with a great view on the harbour.

Atlantica is a fine hotel
Good location for my needs (close to my daughter's apt) but a little far from the beaten track. Still, since Halifax is small, it's fine. It's in a quiet and pleasant part of town, a 5-10 minute walk from the lovely Public Gardens. Staff are super friendly and helpful. I only had two issues: there was a noisy Coca-Cola machine outside my room and no breakfast was served as part of the price. On the other hand, there is a nice fitness center and free unlimited internet access. On balance, a good, clean, friendly and pleasant hotel.
