great staff
This hotel is well located and close to everything in Halifax (food, museum, corporate Atlantic etc...). Great staff. Quiet. Should review your rate because it still a 3-star hotel. Will recommend it definitely

Disappointing
The review was misleading. While somewhat updated, the faclility is old. The carpet in the room was heavily stained throughout,; the air conditioning unit rattled; the toilet dripped; and the "water view" was only seen by pressing your window to the glass and looking sideways. While the staff was sufficient, the hotel overall was not up to par. The fitness facility was fine, but there is no restaurant. You must walk trough a hallway of rooms, exit into a common area, and locate the adjacent restaurant (which I must admit was a pleasant surprise). My friends and I had traveled for two weeks throughout this part of Canada, and to conclude our trip at this hotel was "disappointing".

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Coffee Cabin across the street from the Sheraton was a wonderful experience. Delicious coffee, breakfast pastries, oatmeal, smoothies, soups and sandwiches. The line indicates the popularity, and the staff moves the line quickly with friendliness and attentiveness. The comfort of leather sofas, chairs, rustic cabin decor, outdoor seating and gathering of many make it a delightful experience. Very reasonably priced as well.

Very nice, clean and convenient location
Hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly. The location was near everything. Parking was very expensive and it was cheaper in a near by lot. Would definitely stay again.

Not too bad
The hotel was perfect for my stay as I was only interested in a shower and a bed. Was visiting family and spent most of my time with them.

Good place to spend the night
I had planned on heading over to Dartmouth to spend the night, but a snow storm made me decide to stay here instead to avoid the drive. I consider myself a fairly simple traveller really just needed a place to sleep. I checked in around 8pm and was gone shortly after 9am, but my stay was pleasant. Check in and out were easy and the staff were friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable and this was probably one of the best hotel sleeps I have had in a while. The WiFi was easy to connect to and seemed fast. The main downside was that parking was expensive, but at least they do offer it (and when I learned more about other downtown Halifax prices it did not seem outrageous).

Disappointment
Our room was very spacious and had a nice view of the courtyard. But the pool and gym were kind of small. We selected room upgrade for breakfast and lounge access, but it was a waste of money. The club lounge was small and had only a few drink items. The "deluxe" continental breakfast was a joke - there was only a handful of items that you would find at lower tier hotels/motels. Plus, we had to walk all the way to the adjacent conference center to eat breakfast. Stay there for its location and room, but don't expect anything more with upgrade.
