Had a little difficulty getting to the hotel because of the constuction but we called the front desk and they gave us directions. Very pleased with room - clean, large, well appointed. Parkin was a little pricey but nice to be underground. Just there one night visiting grandson at Carleton. Would stay there again.

Staff was very friendly, but they need wifi in the rooms. There was an ethernet plug at the desk, but wifi should be standard at this point. Also, not sure if this is just Canada, but the TV was awful -- both in choices and in the setup. The remote had a delay so when you changed the channel it took 5 seconds to flip to a new channel. Annoying.

Our stay at the Westin Ottawa was outstanding. We had an upgrade to a Deluxe room upon arrival. There was cucumber water to drink in the lobby. This was wonderful as it turned out to be a hot day. Our room could not have asked for a better view... we overlooked Parliament Hill and the War Memorial. The hotel was very central to everything. The parking was a bit of a nightmare, but they made valet parking available for my husband who has mobility issues. The decor was very inviting everywhere! The pool has an outdoor sunning deck which was lovely on a warm spring day! But most of all the staff were outstanding. They constantly asked if everything was fine. Do you need anything. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Ottawa.

This is a very nice hotel and the location is perfect just a block away from the Parlament and the river. The hotel is famous. However, I was very disappointment that despite its high price I had to pay extra for internet connection and extra for parking. It is a pity that such a luxurious hotel with its fame does not give these ammentities to all guest. You have to become a member to get it for free. After visiting Ottowa we drove to Toronto. We are staying at a Days Inn which is less expensive but includes free parking, internet, and breaksfast. The Fairmount was not a great deal.

i was dissapointed at the service, they actually didn't listen to my questions at the desk, they just gave standard "tourist" answers, especially when dealing with the airport shuttle, which they do NOT have, its one of those Airporter companies,$25 for round trip, and you have to stop at every hotel in downtown Ottawa.

The hotel was quiet, clean, and close to the Sparks Mall where you find many restaurants and other conveniences that you would need as a traveler in a new city. I enjoyed my stay and the walk over to the Sparks Mall. It is also close to Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal.

First impression was the hotel needed some refurbishment. However, cleanliness was good and the friendliness and attention from staff couldn't be beaten. The continental breakfast was excellent plus. We would definitely use this hotel again. The purpose of our trip was to visit an old friend in a Nursing Home and the bus outside the hotel took us right there. Overall we were delighted with our stay and couldn't have had better value for our money. Canadians are so friendly and helpful.

The front staff was very friendly and accomodating. I was surprised with the size of the place. I was anticipating a hotel but instead an inn with no elevator or pool (found out I booked the wrong Travelodge). but overall it was a pleasant experience and a great walking distance to attractions.

The hotel was located in downtown Ottawa, close to many attractions and restaurants. The rooms were large and clean. The buffet breakfast was your typical buffet breakfast and I had it once. I ordered a la carte for the rest of my stay. Overall a very nice hotel.

This was a great hotel for the money, I thought. It was like having an apartment. There were even two bathrooms and a laundry room! The kitchen was well stocked though it was missing its frying pan-I feel sure there was one originally. The only comment I would make is that it was a shame that there were no chairs to sit on out on the balcony. It's a small balcony, but it still would have been nice. Overall, I would come back and recommend this to anyone coming to Ottawa.

Great hotel for the price. Location was perfect - right downtown. The room was nice and large, the staff were friendly, but the bed and pillow were not particularly comfortable. The heater/AC is centrally controlled so that's kind of annoying. For downtown, 10$ per night parking is great. Overall great value.

Excellent location right downtown. Close to a wide range of restaurants, shopping and entertainment. Hotel is a bit 'outdated' and slightly rundown but not to the point that I was unsatisfied. Staff was friendly and helpful overall - they even gave me an upgraded room upon check-in. Room was comfortable and clean, and very spacious with a full kitchen. A great setup to stay for an extended period of time. I was disappointed that the computer in the business center was broken, but they do offer free internet if you bring your laptop.

this was an unpretentious comfortable place to stay, well located and excellent value rough orbits, friendly homey feel. Free continental breakfast. Not worth the extra five bucks for the warm breakfast, generally canned eggs and soggy bacon, the rooms were well serviced, good cable tv, hot strong showers, good towels. Free hotel wide wifi. All in all an excellent place to stay. No complaints.

This hotel is quite conveniently located: not down-town, but within a block or so of parkways, a freeway and major avenues to the airport, to Hull, or to down-town or cross-town. It's just across the road from a basic but decent shopping center. The rooms are of standard motel-style design but large, and the bay-window really helps give a sense of space. There are better-than-basic in-room amenites including safe and fridge and the standard check-out time was a useful 1 p.m. Even the cooler younger desk staff were helpful, and the more senior staff extremely warm and friendly. There's a web-connected computer - only one - in the lobby, and a tiny bar and dimly-lit restaurant downstairs; short on ambience but all nevertheless useful resources.

The hotel is just a short walk from Ottawa center in a quiet street. The staff is very friendly, a great breakfast. The major difference is that on feels at home and not in a hotel.

We stayed two nights for sightseeing. Everything in this hotel was breathing the atmosphere of friendlines and care. Homey setting with TV in cozy living room and dining room for guest use. We have got personal attention of the owner and felt really welcome. Our room was small but clean and very well kept. Breakfast(included)was another great surprise. The only inconvenience was a shared bathroom and missing closet in the room we stayed. This may affect somebody who plan to stay longer/ the above comment applies to our room only. Overall we love this hotel and if trevel back to Ottawa in future we plan to stay there again.

Ottawa hotels are rather expensive so when i saw the quality hotel, i was not sure how good it would be. The front desk were effic but the room was spacious, very clean and very quiet. Overall, I thouhgt it was great value for money.

Nice and very spacious room, full kitchen, comfortable beds. I was very pleased with the room, its cleanliness and appointments. The hotel staff was nice and very helpful. Sunday morning breakfast was really disorganized, but it was also really crowded so maybe it was just understaffed. Saturday and monday breakfast went smoothly and the food and the service were just fine. Parking is convenient and the location of the hotel is perfect. All in all, a good value.

I enjoyed my stay. The only thing that I would suggest is that the hotel staff offer more assistance to the guest upon check in, such as options of how to get around town, points of interest,reservations needed for transportation to and from the airport.

I stay at the Delta Ottawa yearly for business travel. The staff just could not get any nicer or more hospitable. Check-in (and out) is fast, the rooms are clean, quiet (although an ity-bit dated, which doesn't bother me at all) and the hotel restaurants are well equipped.
Loved the beds, and the 4 king size pillows.
The location is right downtown, right on a pedestrian mall that takes you down to the outdoor ByWard Market and Rideau Center mall, with Parliament running parallel to that.
The gym has a few cardio machines and free weights - I was pleasantly surprised to see what was available there. On one side there is a window to the pool, which is nice, because some hotel gyms can feel really closed-in.

On business. Stay felt very utilitarian and not a top experience. Bathroom was dirty and cabinets delaminating, used water bottles in the room.
Been coming to Ottawa for two years and felt I would try the Arc. Below 90% of the other 60 pls visits to Ottawa.

This hotel was used as a stop over on a road trip but was a great find. It is within walking distance of the Parliament buildings, which is why you would go to Ottawa mainly. The hotel is small but very clean and the staff very friendly and helpfull. The free wiine in the evenings was a bonus after a long day sightseeing.
