Courtyard by Marriott Downtown
The hotel was positioned in the down town area convenient for all activities however the car parking facility was inadequate for the size of hotel, there were not sufficient spaces for the amount of guests that the hotel could accomodate. The hotel charged $20 per day for the parking but could not guarantee a space at weekends or during the July 1st celebrations. My wife and I who were visiting family in Iroquois had to check out on the Thursday and Friday, two days earlier than scheduled because of no parking space when we were to return on Thursday or Friday. There was no refund of monies for the two nights that we had to relinquish[...]The breakfast was not included in the price of the room and was available at a price. I would not stay at this hotel again based on the the above reasons.Dave Brown

Walk around the block till your hungry and take you pick of where to eat. It's all there. No excuse for going hungry.

Great location for downtown Ottawa
The downtown Courtyard is the best location if you want to be centered in the Byway Market. Just step outside the door and you will be in the market. On the weekends the area is filled with street venders and there are numerous Bars , restaurants , diners , and shops. You can find great shopping at the Hudson Bay store or the Rideau center just a block away. The government buildings , center for performing arts , and many museums are located closeby. Just park your car underground at the hotel and forget about until you leave. After six days of rain we went to Ottawa for the weekend. We ate every meal outside and saw some great entertainment.

Awesome place to stay
My husband and I headed to Ottawa so I could run a 1/2 marathon. The hotel was in a perfect spot. We could walk to every running event. The staff was friendly; rooms were extremely clean and the jacuzzi felt awesome after my run.

Mama Grazzi's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants which was a short distance from our hote.

Overall good experience - great location
Hotel was in a GREAT location! Lots to do and see. Room was large and very clean. Comfortable bed. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointing feature is that we were near the elevator so it was somewhat loud which made it difficult to sleep.
