The husband and I needed a night away and this hotel fits the bill fantastic! Perfect for the gay traveler being just off Church Street and all the nightspots and great dining. Check out the Church Street Diner, great! Parking deck is under renovation but that's not a downfall, it'll make it better in the future..

Clean, simple, neat. Outstandingly comfortable beds, duvet and pillows.

Got this room at an ok price considering if was TIFF time...but room smelled like stinky feet, wasn't ready for check in at 3PM! Also, no parking, had to park my car in an open public lot down the road and go down at 7am to put more money in the machine. They have an underground lot under an apt building a block away but only have like 10 spots and people park there who arent even staying at the hotel. Contintental breakfast was only open 7am to 10am...thought that was kind of short. The night desk guy couldn't understand or speak English...just shrugged his shoulders at us when we asked for something. Also asked the hotel to call us a cab and we waited outside for 15 mins then went in to ask if it was on the way and the girl said she forgot to call them back. so ended up waiting 30 mins for a cab. Shady location, lots of homeless people. I don't suggest the hotel, we had to stay there or else we would have been paying 250 or 300 bucks for a nice hotel.

The Holiday Inn Express is well located in downtown Toronto. The room was of average size and perfectly clean. The breakfast was free and offered numerous choices - pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruits, and breads. Wireless internet was also free. Only complaint was the noise both from the hallway and the street. Overall a good value.

While the hotel is a bit hidden and off to the side. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The employees were all friendly and ready to chat at any point.
Room was exceptionally clean, kitchenette was nice to have.

Great staff and an above average hotel. However, my car came back from valet parking with a nice scuff mark running half the length of the hood. Of course I didn't notice until I had made it back to the States.

Pretty good hotel. Turns out it was RIGHT around the corner to the bus depot which was awesome. everyone was pretty friendly, the bed was super comfortable. The only baffling thing is the reality of their "free internet"-- it was dial up. All i had with me was my iPhone, since when does "free internet" in this century mean anything other than wi-fi?

I encourage people to become tourists in your home town and enjoy this hotel. Rooms are tastefully decorated, with bonus amenities like apple TV, and free wifi. Frontline staff are accommodating and friendly. Housekeeping is thorough, yet need to understand what Do not disturb means. Attached to a restaurant without a room service deal in place. Makes little sense. They could use a frequent guest program. Need a snack machine. But the overall experience was great, close to the buzz. Extremely comfortable beds, pillow top heaven. Excellent shower pressure, hot water always hot. Complimentary newspapers....couple nice touches but it could be easily polished with some forward thinking.

Since I was at a 2 day conference at the convention centre and went to the baseball on the first day, I chose this hotel because I did not want to fight the traffic in the morning and it was very economical for the location. I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff - from the front desk to the housekeepers. I would definitely come back here and recommend this.

Nice looking Lobby and conference rm. Pool and exercise facilities sizable and clean. Downside was the lack of a restuarant/lounge.

I enjoyed my first stay at the Harbor Castle. I was upgraded to a nice lake view room. The room was very comfy. The location was perfect for a romantic trip. However, the parking was too expensive and a cab to Dundas square is about $12

This was a very nice hotel, especially for the price of the room. A surprise was the cost of parking, that is probably because I'm not used to it but $80 for the weekend seemed a bit much. Even a block away was 60 for the weekend so we just went for valet. The hotel is in a good location, but a bit of a hike from the downtown life.
The hotel itself was very nice, and we were very pleased. One of the concierge was very snooty and unhelpful. As for the rest of the staff, they were great. I would definitely reccommend it!

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the staff were helpful and polite, and the place is efficiently run. The area it is in is not far from the city centre, but appears a little run down.

Great hotel! But...

I came for a business trip. The fact that wifi in the room is additional charge makes me furious. It's like a fly in the ointment, and the rest of this hotel is, indeed, an ointment.
The location is very central, close to PATH, eaton center and the subway system. Staff was helpfull and the room is wide and comfortable.
Provide free wifi in the room and it will become my favorite hotel.

Overall my stay at the Sheraton was really good. The room was very clean and comfortable and the hotel was at a great location. My only complaints were the lack of some amenities - no mini fridge, microwave, or free wi-fi.

nice hotel for the price

had a very nice stay over the holidays. the staff was helpful. the location is great, overlooking the lake and the harbourfront. facilities are limited, but there are some nice restaurants in the vicinity.

The 100 percent Non Smoking Ramada Plaza Toronto Downtown is centrally located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Close to such iconic sites and attractions such as the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Air Canada Centre, and the Hockey Hall of Fame, the hotel is a great value for your holiday.
Day trips include Niagara Falls, Canadas National Capital Ottawa, and Amish Country in Guelph, Waterloo, Kitchener, and St. Jacobs.
Within a short cab ride is Billy Bishops Airport on Toronto Island and Pearson International Airport in Mississauga.
Please be aware guests must be 21 years of age to make a reservation and check in to hotel. Valid ID will be requested upon check in. All guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or will be refused at time of check in.

Bachelorette crash pad

Went and stayed here for my Bachelorette, and they had rooms that fit 6 of us in beds comfortablly which was key to spiltting costs! Bathrooms are GORGEOUS! Looks like they were newly renovated. Service was great, and efficient. we needed more towels and ice, and were brought it within 15 minutes. Only thing I wasnt't he happiest about was the parking fee. It was unmentioned and 25 dollars per car, but aside from that, great time!

First time staying in a Ramada, wasn't that impressed. Room was adequate and comfortable, however the decor was dated, a la 1990's, little bit worn around the edges. The room carpet was worn and stained, I was afraid to go barefoot. The hallways were dark and old-looking. But, for the price, it was within walking distance to where I needed to be.

Good location, We went to see the Cirque of Soleil and it was a very short distance from there. The room was clean and comfortable, the only thing that needed was a fridge.

We only stayed one night, so we didn't experience the restaurant, etc., but if you're going because of an event at Air Canada Centre (like we were), this is a FAB option! The hotel is within walking distance to the Centre and subway lines to get you to other parts of the city. I found the area to be fairly quiet, but we were there on a Sunday. HUGE bathroom, but the handheld shower head wasn't the greatest (convenience or water pressure). I would stay here again if attending an event at the Centre, but otherwise, I don't think it was very centrally located.

ground transportation a disaster. request $60. refund

A Route Limo not at designated location at my arrival in Toronto. My name not on the dispatcher's list of expected passengers. A Route Limo not known to dispatcher who suggested I call number on the voucher. A van arrived some twenty minutes later. Ground transportation at Toronto mostly with Lincoln Town cars for $50. to $60. to my destination.
Driver requested an additional $20. for airport parking when we arrived at my hotel. I refused to pay. When I called the day before my departure to confirm pickup from hotel I was told to give the driver $20. I had never experienced extra charges on previous trips. After the hotel told me they had never heardh of such charges nor of the company I made arrangements with a proper airport limo company for the trip from the hotel to the airport for the return flight. I strongly suggest you make arrangements with a limo company that charges government approved charges and uses comfortabele sedans. There are several reputable companies operating at Toronto airport at reasonable rates. I look forward to my $60. refund. Sincerely, Guenter Reich

Great rooms, great location

Everything about the hotel feels nice and new. The lobby is clean and open, and the rooms are decked out with swanky new furniture and appliances. Only major downside is the price and the fact that internet is an extra $15/day.

These guys run a great hotel in the middle of Toronto. The staff in the lobby is always there to help you with whatever you need whenever you need it. They're fantastic. I can't say enough good things about these guys.

My stay at Super 8 was just as it should be—reasonable price, comfy room, free breakfast. Actually, the room was so big, I didn't know what to do with myself. And aside from the fact that the room was dark no matter how many lights I turned on (or that I couldn't figure out how to turn off the air conditioner—i should have asked), I would be happy to return here again on my next visit to Toronto.

Excellent location, courteous staff and great value for your money. For those used to four seasons might have some issues but be tolerant and you would wonder why one would waste money at those places.

A decent hotel for the money in Toronto.
Pros: good price, nice clean rooms .
Cons: A bit noisy due to its proximity to the highway, the WiFi service was poor.

Good value for downtown Toronto

The place is within walking distance of all downtown, not far from CN tower, museums, a 20 min walk to Yonge St, but even though my feet were sore from walking all over for 2 days straight, the hotel was a good crashing place and for 100 bucks a night with 5$/day off street parking in a safe neighborhood, the hundreds of dollars saved was worth it. The room was small and utilitarian, but did have a fridge, small kitchen with stovetop and dishes and cutlery in room. Free wifi worked fine, staff was polite and helpful, and no noise. Included towels were small and threadbare, so bring your own, but other than that...I would stay there again if I go back to Toronto. Recommended for travelers who are on budget, just need a crashpad and don't want/need a 4-5 star place

Great for visiting Downtown and Chinatown

The room was cozy, and it has a stove, sink, fridge, and microwave. The staff was really helpful and gave us lots of information about the surrounding attractions. Downtown is about a 20min walk and Chinatown is right down the street. The building was old, but well kept. No problems at all.
