Nice stay

The staff was helpful and friendly and the location was very central to Downtown Toronto. On the down side, they make up in parking fees for the good deals on room rates - $32 per day! And no good alternatives, like on-street or public garages. Room was on the samll side, but the bed and comforter were very good.

Just Average

Upon checking in, I politely asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevators. What I got was exactly the opposite! He gave me a room on the third floor directly across from the elevator. This hotel has 17 floors and 550 rooms, 25 suites so I don't understand why they couldn't do any better. It wasn't even peak season! Actually, the noises emanating from the radiator blocked out the noises from the elevator. Everything else was just average.

Weekend getaway

Absolutely love the location! Right off the metro and lots of restaurants in the area. It was great to be able to check in at 11am. Staff was friendly, got great restaurant recommendations from the concierge. Free WiFi was pretty good, compared to the poor signal quality at most hotels offering free WiFi. Room was big but average decoration/furniture Courtyard room. Only complain is towels were old/too rough and the ice machine on floor 14 was not working.

Very dirty and old

I have stayed in many Courtyard by Marriott in the past 5 years and always had a very good atmosphere and nice clean room (Marriott Style). This is the first time I was very disappointed about the room, it looked old, dirty and smelly. The lobby staff was ok, but not the most pleasant. The price was extremely high for what I received and sincerely I will never stay in that hotel anymore!

Clean and Great Value

We stayed for TIFF. We were within walking distance of two of the major theaters (Ryerson and Winter Gardens). The box office and further downtown theaters were a cab ride or a 25-35 minute walk. The hotel was a perfect location for our film schedule. The room was comfortable and very clean. I'd go back.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

If you want a great meal, go the Greek place called Volos. It is a little high end, but you can go in blue jeans and a button down. Expect $30 per person with wine.

Great Weekend Getaway Spot

My girlfriend and I needed a place to stay while we stayed downtown Toronto. The location was excellent as there were tons of restaurants close by. We were very happy about the room cleanliness and valet parking. I would definitely stay there again!
