Expert hospitality and high style in heart of financial district
The Metropolitan Hotel Toronto's sleek design is a perfect match for the vibrant urban landscape of the financial district it inhabits. There's a lot going on, with business centers, theaters, galleries, museums, restaurants and boutiques nearby. But while the thrum of the streets is fast-paced and exciting, guests find a refuge of tranquility inside the hotel. After a day of meetings, shopping or sightseeing, relax with friends and colleagues at one of the hotel's award-winning restaurants. Or soak in an in-suite whirlpool tub and order dinner in.
Highlights
  • Complimentary downtown limousine service
  • In-suite whirlpool tubs
  • Award-winning on-site Lai Wah Heen Restaurant
Rooms
Find stylish, contemporary decor, European linens, operable windows and business-friendly amenities in all guest rooms and suites at the Metropolitan Hotel Toronto. Some suites also have large marble bathrooms with whirlpool tubs and plush bathrobes. Executive suites feature a fax machine, laser printer, stereo with CD player, and a walk-in closet, in addition to all the standard amenities. Wi-Fi Internet access is available throughout the hotel (fees apply).
Features
The staff at the Metropolitan Hotel understands what it takes to make a business trip successful, from providing high-tech amenities to complimentary limousine service. Leisure travelers, too, will appreciate the stylish ambience of the hotel and the proximity to some of Toronto's most exciting tourist attractions. The state-of-the-art fitness center and heated indoor pool are great for burning off energy. Both on-site restaurants are award-winning regional stars, but they offer entirely unique menus. In fact, local critics say that Lai Wah Heen serves the best dim sum in North America.

Great place down town.

Very clean & upgraded rooms. courteous staff. Very helpful manager. Only problem we had was that the so called Queen bed was too small for 2 people & there were only 3 pillows, indicating that the room was likely for Single & not for Double occupancy. Great location for my conference.

Sorry your room is hot, but you booked on a travel site

The hotel is in an ideal location within the city, close to everything. The lobby looks very nice and the hotel seems modern...until you get to your room. We stayed here during a hot/humid week in July. When we arrived in the room we attempted to turn up the AC and then left for dinner. Upon our return the room was still sweltering. It was late, and the hotel was booked. We went to the front desk where the concierge seemed as though the world was ending because we asked him to check the AC. A maintenance man came to our room within 5 minutes. He called down to the desk and said the condenser was broke and needed replaced. They asked to speak to me and said we can offer you free breakfast for your trouble. I get breakfast for not being and to sleep?? I was told because we booked on a travel site, no refund could be offered. Fortunately our maintenance guy thought the room was stifling too. He said I'll be back and came in with a new unit and replaced it for us....even after his shift ended. We were very confused when he grabbed a unit from a different room...even though they were booked? I was told they were booked? We are so thankful for the maintenance man helping us, but not impressed with the hotel. Don't advertise on a travel site if you can't please a guest at the same time.

Convenient Location/Good Value

The hotel is in a great location! Public transportation is very close and easily accessible. Room was a bit small, but clean. Very small TV with limited channels. Complimentary bottles of water and FREE WI-FI!! Great value.

Great Hotel, if you're just looking for a place to sleep

Not disappointed by any means, just nothing to be impressed by. The restaurant never got busy, the rooms were interesting to say the least. For the price, I feel it was a far value.

good and conveniently located hotel

This was a very decent hotel for the money. Not luxurious, but good quality. Location is convenient - a couple of blocks from the downtown center. I would recommend it for a business traveler.

Great Location

The hotel is in a great location. Stayed there while in the city for a work commitment. Lobby is nice but room is small and out of date. Nothing bad, but nothing exceptional.

Great location, lousy bed.

wonderful location; we were in town to see a performance at the Four Seasons Center, and it was an easy walk from this hotel. We at the hotel restaurant. Food was good, and the experience was pleasant. However, the bed was very soft, no support at all. We suffered considerable back pain the following day.
