Overpriced

Overpriced and no parking. Had just a Valet Service for $42.00 a night. Manager on checkout on Sunday morning was very rude when I asked for a copy of my Bill. Will stay at the Sheraton Toronto on my next visit .

overpriced

Overpriced Hotel, no parking just Valet for an extra $42.00 per night. Sunday morning Manager was terribly rude when I asked for my room receipt and was told it may take hours to get it! I left my email and still have not received it. Will stay at the Toronto Sheraton next time which was an awesome experience.

Okay but wouldn't go back

The hotel is not in the best location and is quite a walk from the central downtown core. It was a reasonably comfortable and clean hotel; breakfast was $13.95 + tax (+ tip) regardless of whether you had continental or full cooked option, so not good if you only want a bowl of cereal! My room was very generic and quite masculine in style but the air conditioning was sensitive and quickly provided the desired room temperature. Soap was provided rather than shower gel which seemed a bit old fashioned. I liked having the pool and gym (both quite small) available but they are totally unstaffed which was time-consuming when the treadmills refused to work one morning. The staff on the front desk were not particularly friendly but were reasonably efficient at ordering taxis etc. I tried room service one night for dinner provided by the diner below the hotel and wouldn't recommend. Food not good and very expensive. I would choose a hotel closer to the centre next time.

Decent hotel - Great staff !

Stayed here recently while traveling through Toronto. The hotel was nice enough, location was good for our needs. The lady at the front desk was great in helping us iron out a few wrinkles in our reservation. Was also very helpful in arranging travel onwards the next morning. The one thing that put me off a bit ( and it's not the hotels fault directly) is the amount of hangers- on and panhandlers outside the door. Just walking out the door and across the street to get a coffee at Timmy's , and being accosted by 4-5 people on the way over and a few more inside Tim Hortons is a bit much. True....this is a perspective from only a one night stay, but it seems like the street situation could be cleaned up a bit.

Noisy next door

The room was not very soundproof. We experienced two nights bearing with next door laughing and talking after midnight - 2am-5am! Not a pleasant one. The room was fair though.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

You can park at the paid parking lot outside the hotel and walk to the Eaton Centre. Much cheaper!

3 Nights in Toronto

Great hotel, conveniently located close to the Eaton Centre with some really great restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are a little tired but overall clean and the staff are outstanding, friendly and very helpful. This is not my first stay here and definitely won't be my last.

Excellent

Though not in what one considers as the best location, the hotel is surprisingly good. Staff are courteous and helpful. A bit of walk to the closest subway and I was advised not to stroll around late in the night. Hotel by itself, was very good for the price.
