Business trip in December
Hotel was in a prime location. One of the best features was the current promotion via online website that gave us free Valet parking. We ended up saving about 450$ just on parking for the time we stayed there because of the promotion. We were sad to hear that breakfast was not included. As it use to be back in the day. And we were paying a fairly pricey rate for the room.

Great staff, great location, great hotel.
The staff was helpful before we even arrived. The one negative comment I had read before booking the room was that because of it's location some rooms could be noisy so I requested a quiet room. Even though we arrived early, we were given a room in the quietest spot imaginable-high up and towards the rear of the building. We didn't hear any noise from outside of the hotel or inside for that matter. With carpeted halls, wide hallways and plenty of space between rooms, I wasn't surprised. The concierge, Crystal, was not only helpful she was truly thoughtful and caring. She went above and beyond in making our stay memorable. The location cannot be beat. Within walking distance of downtown, Kensington Market, Chinatown, plenty of great restaurants, theaters and places to enjoy a drink after wards, yet not on a busy, bustling, noisy street. The espresso bar in the lobby with self serve hot drinks was a great little perk. A few mocha latte's put a spring in our steps on the walk to the theater and enjoying the rainfall shower helped us wind down before sleeping in the luxurious king bed

Tutti Matti for a great Italian dinner made with care. Cora for breakfast right around the corner, but get there early because the lines start forming at 8:30 on the weekends.

Great Hotel in Central Toronto- Two dislikes
Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Excellent restaurants are within walking distance. The 2nd City Comedy club is across the street. Room was beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Two things that were unpleasantly surprising: Because we booked through Orbitz, the complimentary breakfast was not included. Also, it was a bit of a surprise to find that parking was $ 35.00 per night. With that being said, I would recommend this upscale hotel in downtown Toronto.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Exit the front door, turn right and then turn right again and walk through the parking lot. This puts you on a street lined with excellent restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try Paece for Italian then hit the 2nd City Comedy Club for a good laugh.

Nice last minute getaway
this is a very nice hotel in a perfect location for us. The staff was amazing. The restaurant was very good. I highly recommend , even if you are not staying at the hotel. I wish that their beds were more comfortable , my neck is still hurting. The room was clean and spacious enough for my wife and me.

Amazing!
Gorgeous, sleek, and modern rooms with top-notch service. While it was modern, it was very warm. Rooms had everything you needed and more, including cappucino machines and spacious, stunning cabinetry. The hotel had a terrific breakfast buffet, and servers who made lattes (or whatever) to order. I'll definately come back again and again.

A show horse, not a work horse.
This is a beautiful European style hotel in downtown Toronto. However, it is definitely a show horse, not a work horse. First, its pricey vis a vis just as nice looking and much more practical 1 King West. Second, it has a poor interface with Orbitz. Its staff did not receive my Orbitz reservations until hours after I checked in. Third, its staff was unknowledgable about the features of the room. When I couldn't get the wireless internet to work not only was the front desk technically clueless, but he didn't even tell me that there was an ethernet cable in my room that I could use - instead I stumbled upon it myself the next morning. Finally, and most unforgiveably, there was no coffee pot in the room! While I was able to get coffee at the free (and very nice) breakfast buffet, that simply can't compare to the convenience of an in-room coffee pot. Anyone looking for a beautiful, luxurious - and very practical - room in downtown Toronto need look no further than 1 King West which, for substantially less $$$ gives you not only a coffee pot, but an entire kitchnette and a much bigger room to boot.

Hidden Treasure
The hotel was only 1 1/2 blocks from the convention center, closer than the bulk of the other convention hotels. And it was one of the nicest places I've been to (I travel about 2x / month and stay in 4 and 5 stars). The staff was Toronto friendly (very endearing), the lobby was fresh, and the rooms were perfect. Breakfast is included and is a wonderful array of eggs, cereal, cheeses, juice/coffe, pastries, olives, etc. Water and fruit are available free at the front desk. The business area has a free computer and color printer, the entire hotel has free WiFi. I can go on and on...
