Great Choice

some reviews mention the construction next door. We saw it, but never heard it from the room. We loved the place because; - Quick ride to the airport - All the rooms are suites - Beach was clean, not crowded - Comfortable, Canopied loungers on the beach, not stacked one on the other. - Nice pools, not crawling with noisy unsupervised children - Everyone was friendly - Red Sails Sports HQ on site. - Crystal clear water, snorkeling right from the beach - Food at the restaurant (Hemmingway's) pretty good for all meals. - Another restaurant across the street (Decker's) and a cheaper breakfast spot, (Lauren's) also across the street. - Wine shop across the street.

Excellent Resort Accommodation with Breakfast

The ladies at hotel reception were amazing. I was treated exceptionally well. The hotel is beautiful, food delicious, staff is friendly. Location is as convenient for a lazy walk along the beach as it is for a walk to Camana Bay or a grocery store. I enjoyed my stay at the Beach Suites.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Large grocery store is within a walking distance, which is great for buying bottled water which is very pricey at the hotel. You can by a 24-pack for the price of one large bottle at the hotel. You are allowed to roll a shopping cart from the store to the hotel, how about that?

Great Location

The beach was great, beautiful water and sand. The beach chairs were great with the cushions and canopy. There was a nice easy pace at the hotel, no shortage of beach chairs! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to numerous restaurants and an easy bus ride to Georgetown ($2.50 each) We would stay here again. Rooms very clean with turn down service and fresh towels every day and night.

Take Capt Marvin's boat tour to see the stingrays. It is recommended by the hotel and is $20 cheaper per person. Very enjoyable. It is a must due.

Nice Could Be Better

Its not a bad hotel.Suites are nice.Staff can be hit or miss. Construction project going on next store so be informed.Price for the hotel was reasonable. Price for food in general on the island is high. You must search for local dining spots for the best prices(unless money is no object). Places like EATS, TREATS Were reasonable price for breakfast. Heminways (Hotel resturant)was not worth the price in my opinion. Fosters is super market just like at home and is in walking distance get all your general supplies bottles of water, drinks snacks or whatever your needs may be. Remember the US dollar is not equal to the Cayman dollar be prepared. If you rent a car they drive on the oposite side of the street and gas is over $4 a gallon. Red Sail Sports (Its right on the beach at the hotel) is over priced. You can get the same services for less. Just ask at the Hotel desk they will help you out. I'll recomend Stingray city and The Dolphin Adventure(if you do the Dolphin Adventure might as well go to the turtle farm its accross the street and go to "HELL" the attraction it is close by you won't need much time to see Hell. Its something to see take a couple pictures and go.) and the horseback riding was great(Do the sundown ride not the morning ride too hot).

Places called Eats and another one called Treats were great for breakfast. Fosters supermaket for general items. There a place called the Sunshine Grill it located in a Hotel complex behind Eats was very reasonable. If money is no object there plenty of resturants to chose from.

Nice place, great location, great staff

We used the hotel mostly for a place to sleep. The pool was crowded with families and little children. Our "ocean view" room was really a "palm tree view" room, but to their credit the staff was very courteous and helpful in moving us to room with an actual ocean view. The doors to the hotel are locked at night which doesn't seem to be the norm on 7 Mile Beach, but there was no indication that the added security was necessary. The small wet bar in the room (refrigerator, sink, microwave & set of eating dishes) was excellent for having snacks in the room.

Fosters is the local grocery store a 5 minute drive north of the hotel. It's a great spot to pick up snacks, sandwiches and fresh fruit. Their prepared deli sandwiches were great for taking on the boat and to the airport. They're not "great" but they're good and much cheaper than the airport food. :-)

Wonderful place

Red Sail dive shop in the hotel, with diving, sailing, jet skis, snorkeling. good food on-site, plus myriad of restaurants walkable. Only negative is the tennis court is across the way (but the security staff will even drive you there and come back too)

Great hotel!

Upon arrival at check in we were offered glasses of champagne and welcoming smiles from the desk clerk. This was a lovely hotel as far as location, room size, (one bedroom suites) and balcony. Room #8205 has a great view of the pool and water with a huge balcony. I will definately stay here again. I usually stay at the Ritz Carlton hotels when I travel but am glad that I stayed here as the Ritz was so large and crowded that people were standing in line at the restaurants for breakfast. We ate dinner outdoors at Hemmingway's. The ambiance and the food was excellent!

Fantastic family getaway

The 7 mile beach is fantastic. This is also the most beautiful ocean I have seen, and I have been to a lot of places. We enjoyed the beach, went shopping to Georgetown and went to the turtle farm.

Great place

We had a third floor room with walkout balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. We shopped rates and the price was comparable to the Westin and Marriott, but the rooms are much, much nicer. I have stayed all 3 places and would stay here if I had the choice and the price remains right every time. We really liked that it is a relatively small place so you don't feel crowded anywhere like you would at a Marriott, we never had to share the hot tub with anybody and had the workout room pretty much all to ourself.

Walk 3 blocks to the Fosters Food Fair and get food/drink cheap. Bottles of water for less than $1 when they charge $8-9 at the hotel.

Nice Stay - Great Beach

Nice area, beautiful beach and warm water. Hotel staff well trained and friendly. Dinners were expensive but good. There is a grocery in walking distance that is well stocked and has a cafeteria set up. Stingray City is a must do. Flowers Ocean Swim was well run and fun. Frequent van service makes transportation easy at $2.50 US per person per ride.
