Very nice resort

This is a very nice place on the main drive with all the other nice hotels. Not a real island feel to it but the staff is great and it is a very relaxing place. Everything you need is within walking distance and bus stops right out front. Great beach and snorkeling and a very nice pool.

Nice weekend

I would recommend this to any traveler. While the Westin is smaller than the Ritz next door, the level of service and amenities make this a great hotel to spend a long weekend at

Definitely a great vacation package but it's the little things I found annoying

I still don't understand what the daily resort charge of 20 US Dollars is for, and then on top of that the additional 10% Service charge. Maybe I should be grateful I wasn't charged for the electricity and water I used during the stay.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

They charged over 6 Cayman Dollars for a bottle of water!!! There ought to be a limit to greed. So, I bought a bottle of water at the supermarket down the road for 1 Cayman dollar and refilled it at the water cooler in the gym at the hotel.

Great trip, fantastic location, but hotel needs updating

We had a fabulous trip. Location was perfect, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they had lots of activities to keep kids and adults occupied. However, the rooms and the hotel overall was a little outdated and needed updating. Considering that this was the best place on the island (other than the Ritz), and is priced accordingly (i.e., relatively high), they should provide commensurate comfort levels. Still a great location and worth the trip.

Hotel without umbrellas on the beach

I have traveled to 12 diferent Caribian Islands. Only Westin in Cayman Island did not have complementory umbrellas on the beach, unless you pay $120 per day. It is huge turn off.

Expensive for accomodations

Yes, standard Westin bed, but the building itself is old and the staff not all that friendly. Beautiful patio where you could watch the sunset....and drink your wine out of a plastic cup. (no glass cause of the kiddies). Enough said.

clean hotel. nice beach convenient location

overall good. My room was too close to the lobby and as a result the noise at night while trying to sleep could be distracting. They have a piano bar and they play till about 11:30 pm and the laughter and talking of those there makes it hard to sleep. A hotel of this stature should also have an airport shuttle.

A pleasant stay

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. We mentioned as we checked in that we were celebrating our anniversary. A couple days into our stay a bottle of champagne and cheese and fruit were delivered to our room compliments of the hotel. We enjoyed being right on seven-mile beach. Because the pool was being repaired we were given a two-for-one hot breakfast each day and free use of the internet. It wasn't far from the airport and it was easy to use the bus to downtown George Town from right outside the Westin,
