Located right in the heart of downtown Santiago, where the main tourist attraction, business and cultural activities of the city take place Hotel Galerias invites you to experience the friendly service, while enjoying a true slice of Chile, its people and cultural wealth brought in every corner of the hotel.
Remarks: Non-Chilean residents are exempted from VAT (Value-Added Tax) payment on room prices upon check out. Non residents will be asked for a photocopy of their valid passport and immigration card ("Tarjeta de Turismo") upon arrival. Chilean residents are subject to VAT; a 19% tax will be added to the room rate upon check out. The other amenities includes Lobby and Reception. Chilean Passengers must pay at the hotel, the 19% VAT tax. Foreign passengers are exempt from payment of VAT (19%) of the room, presenting tourist card issued by the immigration service and paying in U.S. Dollars. Foreign passengers who want a bill, must pay the room rate plus tax VAT (19%) Foreign passenger who wants to make the payment in local currency, you must add the value of VAT (19%)

Short walk from hotel
Also a fish market close by which was very interesting and only a short taxi ride. Also a craft market within walking distance
