Thank heaven for 7 Eleven
Shakespeare’s Hamlet says that nothing’s either good or bad but thinking makes it so. To me, bad news that others might think good is that I received a telephone call offering a massage every night I stayed here, but I think the rest of what I’ll say about this place fits values quite common. The bad news is that the walls are so thin that you can hear anger in the hallways and romance in the next room, and that the mattress padding is so thin that you can feel the springs, all while you’re trying to sleep. The good news is that you can take a warm private shower and that housekeeping will make up your room every day. At the price, in China or India, you won’t get much better. And you can walk from your room to the Forbidden City. Free maps are behind the front desk. HITRT

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
Turn left from the front door and right at the corner and walk about a mile to buy sandwiches and orange juice and milk and beer at a 7 Eleven to make up for the lack of food or beverage service at this hotel and for the lack of nutrition and palatability the Chinese have learned to suffer.

Terrible Hotel - Nothing like the photos
A terrible hotel. Photos are nothing like the hotel. Rooms are terrible, dirty and uncomfortable. I had to leave the hotel after the first night and lost my money. I dont understand how cheap tickets its offering this hotel and its not checking it. I should get my money back since I had to book a new hotel and pay for it

It's okay
The location is fine - if you can read a map or are comfortable asking for directions then there are a lot of places you can walk to - you can also walk to the subway stop if you don't want to walk a lot or use the bus. The room is okay for sleeping in, but if you have work to do and need a desk there might not be enough room for working. I would go back there if I'm in Beijing - it's a good enough place especially if you just need a place to sleep and are not spending your days in the hotel.

We had asked for two bed rooms and they tried to stick us in a double bed room at first. When we complained they gave us a triple bed room for the first night, then switched us to two bed room the following nights.

We request the nonsmoking room, but our room #2306 smelled like a smoking room. There was an astray inside our room. The room was very cold. We booked our room for 11 days, our bed sheets and pillow cases were not changed at all. The TV was old and certain channels were not cleared. The towels were old and dirty. When taking a shower, the water was either very cold or very hot. We did not have enough toilet tissue. However, the location was good. The front desk receptionists were very helpful and the price was good.

China public transportation such as the subways (4 Remi round trip) and the buses (2 Remi round trip) were very affordable and it announced each stop in English.

Really bad experience!
I was there on a business trip. I booked my flight from 6/08 to 6/14. On 06/13 at 12 pm they decided to kick me out of the room stating that I only booked til the 13th, I should them the confirmation that it's until the 14th. Since they don't understand a word in english they didn't care less and decided to still kick me out. I had to go because i had a meeting, I came back at 6 pm to argue with them again, they refused and said if i want a room it'll be $100 although I booked it for $27. After an hour of strong argument they realized that they had made a mistake and apologized. But they didn't have a ROOM! 2 more hours waiting for another room! a horrifying experience. I would never recommend it!
