Perfect place to stay
I stayed at the Jade Garden last year. This time, I invited 3 colleagues/friends to stay. My two stays were great--the same for my friends. The Jade Garden is conveniently located near historic sites, shopping, and good restaurants. It's on a quiet tree-lined street. Hotel staff are very helpful, writing names and addresses in Chinese for the taxi drivers, plus arranging taxis and airport transportation. This time, I used the business center for its Internet and printing. No problems! The breakfast buffet is a nice mix of western and Chinese offerings. Two friends opted for massages, which they raved about. Look no further; the Jade Garden Hotel is where you should stay!

Jade Garden Hotel
We were absolutely delighted with the hotel. Excellent location close to the Forbidden City in one direction and a major shopping street in the other.

Short walk from hotel
The hotel is about a block from one of the entrances to the Forbidden City- an easy walk. A major shopping street is about two blocks in the other direction with many restaurant choices along the way.

Great location and great service
We were on a 2-day stopover on our way to a conference in Harbin. We used that time to visit the most famous Beijing and surroundings tourist attraction (Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tinanamen Square, ...). The service at the hotel is as great as the hotel itself. The location couldn't be better, at walking distance from the Forbidden City and the main commercial street in Beijing. If I ever happen to visit Beijing again, this hotel will surely be my first choice for staying.

The most famous Beijing duck restaurant is only a 10 minute walk again. Great service and great food too.

Jade Garden Hotel
Hotel was a great location. The room was fine. English comprehension is not good. The staff was helpful when they could understand what you were requesting. They have bicycles onsite you can rent which was great. Do not book any daytrips from the hotel. Go to the hostel around the corner for a better price and someone who can speak better english so you know what you are getting on your sidetrip.

Use the hostel around the corner to book any daytrips. Rent a bicycle from the hotel for a day for all sightseeing around the Forbidden city.
