The hotel is designed to be a detached, tranquil courtyard of traditional Chinese style. There are altogether more than 160 guestrooms in four types tailored for different customers. In the courtyard some cultural relics such as Princess Hejia's mansion of Qianlong Period (of Qing Dynasty) and an old building of Peking Imperial University (also known as the building for Mathematics Department of Peking University) are well kept. The hotel is managed by a professional team. The entire faculty is ready to provide guest with cozy and caring services.

Walking distance to everything

This hotel was close to most of the big attractions in Beijing. It was nice to be able to walk everywhere or catch a bus close by. The hotel offers some inexpensive day tours, which was great! Aside from those things though, the reception desk was not very helpful and the hotel offers only basic amenities. If you are traveling on a budget it is good, but expect to figure things out on your own. I was not fond of the 200 Yaun deposit for the minibar as I was traveling with cash only and had a limited amount. If you only plan on being at your hotel to sleep, this is great choice, but if you are looking for someplace to relax and enjoy yourself, it is probably worth the extra cash to go to a nicer hotel.

If you are planning on doing things on your own, make sure to have any destinations written in Chinese. I also suggest planning the areas you want to go for meals, and mapping them out.
