Stayed at Furama (Deluxe room/ west-wing)on both my visits to Dalian. One of the best value five-star establishments you can find in the city. Autumn/Winter room rates hover around US$ 90, which is exceptional value.
Staff are very polite and helpful and the rooms (renovated in 2009) are clean, well-equipped and spacious. Bathroom has twin sinks, a separate bath and a rain shower. A huge, comfortable bed, writing desk and free high-speed internet makes it one if the best equipped rooms in town.
Location-wise, the hotel is just next to the equally swanky (but more expensive) Shangri-La and surrounded by high-end malls that carry mainly international high-fashion branded labels. It's a short 20 minute walk to Zhongshan Square and 40 minutes to the Qing Ni Wa Qiao shopping area. Both places are a breeze to walk to, especially if you're visiting during the cooler months between September and March.

Excellent location just at the corner of Shanghai Street and Tianjin street. many local street attractions when you step out of the hotel. Walking distance to Dalian Train station. Good friendly service and helpful staff who are english speaking. for first timers in Dalian, this is a good base

First they had no record of our reservation. They said they never received any E-mail from Orbitz..Even though Orbitz emailed them while I was on the phone with your customer service. She sent two emails to them. I had to book room as individual quest. Now I will be calling Orbitz to make sure I was not charged twice.

Excellent Hotel! A Perfect Stay!

I highly recommend the Horizon Club rooms. Excellent check-in. Horizon club offers a lounge with wireless access and great food for breakfast and dinner. Dinner includes wine and cocktails.
I visited as at tourist from the USA. My girlfriend's parents live in Dalian. The hotel is convenient to all the tourist sites and good restaurants. The hotel restaurants are also excellent.
The service at the hotel was superb! The staff were GREAT! I rate it as in the top two of all the hotels I have stayed in. When I visit Dalian I will stay here again.
Two tips:
1. Bring a cat 5 cable for wired access in the room. I had a Mac Air book and needed an USB ethernet adaptor. I used the wireless in the Horizon Lounge.
2. Coming from the USA I had no problems with the electrical plugs. But you need to make sure your electrics can handle the 220v. My Macbook Air and Camera charger worked fine.

何度か大連に行き他のホテルに泊まりましたが、総合的に一番良い感じでした。
次回も同じホテルに宿泊します。
1点だけおしゃれな水栓金具が設備されていましたが、操作勝手が悪い・・・・・。デザインだけで選んだ感じです。またシャワーヘッドが使用中外れた。
中国で泊まりたいホテルのベスト3に入ります。
