Luxury family vacation in Shanghai
My husband, three small children and I decided to do a little Shanghai adventure. I found this hotel while surfing the internet. While I wasn't familiar with this hotel chain I decided to risk it and book since they advertised a 2BR with kitchen and washer/dryer. When we checked in they upgraded us to a 3BR on a top floor. It was breathtaking and my family was ready to move in! Great modern design, high-quality sinks, faucets, fridge, washer/dryer, and four large flat-screen televisions throughout. Every day the room was made up impeccably and I am a picky person when it comes to cleanliness. Easy walk to the shops in the French Concession. Xintiandi, the n'hood close by that has been renovated to be more tourist-focused, can be totally skipped for those seeking a more authentic experience. Five minute cab ride to The Bund. Ten minute walk to Nanking Road. Great restaurants nearby. Small pool and simple breakfast but I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with kids who wants space, comfort, cleanliness and affordability.

Short drive from hotel
We walked around The Bund and ended up at the restaurant in the Peace Hotel (6th floor, I think). Food and service were beyond excellent. Historic building with architecturally beautiful lobby. My whole family enjoyed it.

The price for the location is
The price for the location is excellent. It is along the premier shopping and restaurant area, next to Xintiandi, close to the underground train, and no problem getting a taxi most times. Breakfast provided is very basic but here is a KFC, Delifrance nearby. Rooms are reasonably large and comes with with washing machine, micro wave ovens, hot plates for cooking. Quite marvellous if you are a long stayer.

Excellent location. Opposite underground station, walking distance to Xin Tian Di and along the high end shopping belt. Numerous good restaurants around the hotel. Hotel's breakfast was skimpy for the price of the room and they only provide breakfast for one person. Not sure why but was told that this policy was carried from the past practice when it was known as Hong Kong Plaza hotel and service apartment. There is Delifrance, Gloria Jeans KFC and Starbucks nearby to have breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Bon emplacement et personnel à l'écoute
Situé face au métro (South Hangpi, exit 2). Légèrement bruyant mais rien de rédhibitoire. Stafff très accueillant et à l'écoute des demandes, plus chaleureux que dans d'autres grandes chaînes de ce standing.
