New Harbour Service Apartment Shanghai

Good location and good services and nice apartment.

My wife and I visited Expo 2010 late sept/early oct.and found the stay in the New Harbour Apartments perfect for our requirements. Helpful with some english speaking desk staff,clean well tended rooms.Ideally placed for Metro (3mins stroll)to Dashjie on Line8.Impossible to criticise.

Great location. Next to People's Square Metro (line 1/2/8) . A short walk to Nanjin rd, old town and the Bund. I had a room with view to Pudong (fantastic a night)! It was great to have a kitchenette but they do not supply pots and pans or cutlery. There is an extra charge for that, all be it very cheap (16 RMB for one week use of a pan)! Grocery store in the same building. Lots of places to eat around. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 20 days. We found the staff very helpful and no problem at all with English.The location was perfect with the metro line 8 about a block away. We ere 3 stops from Expo.We were within walking distance to the Bund, Old shanghai,Nanjing Rd,etc...We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The kitchenette is a total Let down In size And cleanness. The cleanliness and upkeep Of the toilet met my minimum expectations. No mirror in the apartment except the toilet Mirror. Bed was comfortable.

We booked 5 nights here in a 2 BR suite. We expected to go to Shanghai Expo for 3 days. After 3.5 hours, we gave up on the Expo due to the crowds. So the hotel became our primary hangout. There is a swimming pool an exercise room, plenty of drinking water in a full kitchen, a hotel staff that speaks English and is helpful. 2 blocks away, there is a restaurant row with nothing but great restaurants on both sides of the street. 3 blocks away, there is a MacDonalds and Dunkin Donuts. All around there are eateries, including a really nice Muslim place with great hotpot. The hotel is surrounded by 2 supermarkets. Cabs are easy to get and this location is within the minimum fare from the Bund, Nanjing Street (pedestrian shopping street), and Yu Yuen garden and shopping area. You also need to try a Chinese shampoo at any number of barber shops nearby, very cheap, where you get your scalp massaged, your hair will never be cleaner, and you get a short massage of your shoulders at the end. There are some little stalls and shops around, including clothing, some very, very cheap. There is an area of musical instrument shops, from drums to traditional Chinese string and kepboard. to custom Steinways. This is an interesting and local-yokel oriented area, and We had a great time!

Not bad at all: friendly and efficient staff, good central location, and a spacious apartment. For the price, much better than most hotels in Shanghai. Recommended.

5 min walk to Metro line 8, lots of good boutique restaurants nearby. A few 24-hr restaurants and family marts! Room is spacious with drinking water supply. Washing machine proves to be very useful in this hot weather. however there is cooking facilities but no utensils. Overall a great apartment and very convenient located.

This hotel was great in both price and accommodations. We were not in the least disappointed; actually extremely pleased. It had an on-site restaurant and bar for convenience. We easily walked to Nanjing Rd, the Bund, and People's Square. Restaurants and convenience stores were handy. The hotel attendants spoke English, exchanged currency, ordered taxi's, and were very helpful. I think we got the best deal in Shanghai!

This isn't really a hotel, but has more of an apartment feel to it. It's not a bad thing at all though as it makes you feel at home.
