great experience
I was only there for a night but the staff was super friendly and very helpful at pointing me in the right direction. Room was clean and didn't have any noise issues. Free internet and free long distance calls was really nice as well. Definitely recommend if you need a place in San Jose!

Warm weather getaway
Nice hotel. We stayed for 5 nights at New Year's. The Denny's restaurant (the hotel offers free breakfast there) that is at this hotel is also very convenient. There is also a casino at this hotel which is nice. The staff is nice and the hotel is clean. They provide an airport shuttle for free which is also a benefit. Would consider staying there again if we ever go back to Costa Rica

Solid Hotel. This is my second stay. The best parts are the Casino, proximity to Subway & Dennys (attached), and FREE calls to the USA and Canada. The FREE Happy Hour is pretty good as well. Solid hotel. Far enough from being considered elite, but definitely is family worthy and a very good hotel. 3.5-4 Star.

Not Applicable
DO NOT CHANGE YOUR MONEY AT THE AIRPORT OR HOTEL. You will get less money at both places. Practically all of Costa Rica exchange at 500 Colones to 1 dolar. The airport is 440 to 1. The hotel is 490 to 1. Just use cash and exchange where you will get at least the 500 to 1.

If the rooms matched the exterior things would have been fine. I was afraid to walk on the carpet as it was old and old hotel carpet is never good. The TV did not function. I was not there to watch TV but trying to gain a bit of news or kill a bit of time was not accomplished by the non-working tv. The Denny's connected to the restaurant is the most expensive Denny;s in the world with the same terrible food. 15$ for one person to have a very average meal. You could easily hit 23$ there if you add a side to your meal. The staff was awesome, the masseuse Maricela was amazing, the bar is free from 5-6. Guests are not allowed which is not made clear until you are there. Nothing decent within walking distance for tourists but its only a 3k ceintos (6$) cab ride to downtown. Cabbies are all pretty honest, as the people of Costa Rica generally are. Not a bad place but again not really anything to write home about either. Not a "vacation" hotel unless its a place to stay a night or two coming or leaving San Jose while on your vacation,

Very good for the price. Breakfast was excellent at dennys and the 24 hrs coffee and happy hour is a plus. Also I like the free international call to keep contact with family . Good TV channels and front desk personnel were very helpful in everything.

Overall BW was not bad. Good location, nice room if you get a newly renovated one. staff was terrible, rude and not helpful. Beware of that free breakfast special¨: It is a preselected tiny portion at Denys.

Great Place
The hotel staff was great here, and the hotel is beautiful. For the price you get a lot more than you would expect. The internet works best after the second room on the interior side. The free breakfast was at the hotel restaurant, aka Dennys, hahahaha, and its a weird litte menu but whatever. Besides that, the only other food within walking distance is the Subway on the other side of the street. For those who do not know, Costa Rica is expensive, and we paid 8 bucks per sandwich at Subway, and that was for a six inch ham!!!!! So if you want anything at a decent price you need to go somewhere Costa Rican, and all of those places are a taxi ride away. The Gray Line Tour to Arenal Volcano that leaves from the hotel is awesome, especially if you had our guide Gaston. Overall, the hotel quality is there, and I would stay there again :D
