Dubrovnik - The golden walled city of Dubrovnik is one of the most celebrated beauty spots of the Mediterranean - a harmonious showcase of Venetian art and civil, religious and military architecture from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. As a Venetian colony, Ragusa was one of the great trading powers of the eastern Mediterranean from the Renaissance to the Napoleonic era. Sidelined from history after that, it was spared ugly industrial development and survived intact, a beautiful city proud of its history and culture. It became fashionable first as an exotic winter destination and gained in popularity after the Second World War, when the inauguration of the Libertas summer festival of theatre and drama brought the city to the attention of a wider international public.

Great Hotel
I have stayed at 5 major hotels in Dubrovnik and this one is my favorite! It was really nice being able to sit out in the sun and swim from the sea wall without having to worry about a rocky beach and wearing water socks. It was also an easy walk into Old Town. The only reason I didn't give the amenities a perfect score is the fitness center was very small and lacking. You could get by with what they had but the equipment needed a little maintenance. I let them know at the front desk and he said they would get right on it. Highly recommend!!

You should be able to get WiFi out behind the hotel on the sea wall if you sit towards the middle!!

Un hôtel d'exception
Face à la la mer, à 250 m le la vieille ville, l' Excelsior dispose d'une situation exceptionnelle. De plus, le confort des chambres, la qualité des prestations et l'accueil de son personnel en font une demeure de grande qualité.

Bien situé, magnifique
Emplacement idéal, à 5-10 mn à pied du vieux Dubrovnik. Vue magnifique, personnel à la réception accueillant. Eau turquoise,accès directement sur la mer mais pas de plage. Chambre spacieuse, aéré, agréable. Séjour très agréable.
