Great location
Here for only a night en route back to Spain from Split. Found a great deal online so we booked it! Beautiful hotel, outstanding service and just across the street (literally) from old town. Could have been better: The cost for wireless internet access is ridiculous. Really enjoyed: Fitness center and breakfast spread. Good thing we visited each in that order.

A great hotel with a great location
A great hotel with a great location right by the town walls, so no need for taxis or crowded shuttle buses back to the main hotel area on the nearby peninsula.

Terrific Place to Stay!
We loved staying here. It was a great location to walk into the Old Town each evening for dinner and to catch a boat over to one of the islands for the day. Staff members were extremely attentive and spoke excellent English. Breakfast buffet was excellent and extensive. We cooled off in the pool after spending the day exploring.

Take the Number 6 Bus outside of Pile Gate over to Babin Kuk and get off at the last stop. Follow the crowd down the seaside path past several hotels and restaurants to the very nice beach at Lapad. You'll need water shoes because the beach is rocky, but you can rent chairs and umbrellas here. The Front Desk can give you a pink sheet with directions. We spent one of our most enjoyable days here.

Great Hotel in a great location
This hotel is in a superb location, within sight of the old city walls, and close to the bus terminus. This means you can get a bus to within 100m of the hotel from the airport, and do not have to pay for a taxi, which costs around 230 Kunas, or approximately £30. The hotel is lovely, the service great. Staff speak very good english, and are keen to be of assistance. I hired a car at short notice, and got a good rate on a lovely little VW Polo.

Superb staff, location, room size
In Croatia for about 10 days, we spent the first two nights and last night of our trip in Dubrovnik at the Hilton Imperial. We stayed in a room with a beautiful view of the sea for the first two nights and on the second stay in a room with a view of a tree. Both rooms were very spacious with very large bathrooms, especially so for European hotels. The staff was very friendly and professional. If you have any travel-related questions, I would suggest going to the nearby travel agency (Atlas) as a double check. We were at the hotel during the low season (April) and as a result, traveling to other locales in Croatia was not as convenient as it may have been during the summer. Fantastic breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We also went to the restaurant in the hotel for dinner as it was recommended highly by Frommers. It was delicious but more expensive compared to what other restaurants offered in the surrounding tourist-trafficed area. The workout facility was a little small with only a few machines and the pool, though small, was very nice. Overall a very nice hotel. It has all the conveniences of a large hotel (without being too large) and a great location just next to a gate to the old town wall, a local bus stop, and the stop for the bus from the airport. My only complaint would be that it was a very high price per night but as our trip was a special occasion, we paid it and we got many conveniences and great service as a result.
