An adventure- not all good
Unfortunately, although I had reserved my hotel room 3 1/2 months before, on arriving at the Riva hotel, nicely located on the waterfront, I was told that my 3 day reservation could only be for 2 days, but that I could transfer to their sister hotel. At the sister hotel, there also was a problem, since they had a wedding there that night, and I would be inconvenienced by noise. I went back to the first hotel, checked in, unpacked and we went to dinner. After dinner, we discovered that the room air conditioner was not working. We then packed again, went back to the sister hotel, but felt that our first day in Hvar was ruined. The hotel did make accomodation to us, but there was no getting back the first day. I had to guarantee my reservation with my credit card, but what was their guarantee to me??
