Great location, excellent value

Stayed here for two nights. The hotel was nothing spectacular for a 5 star. However its location can't be beat especially for the price. The details: good water pressure; larger in-room safe (can fit a backpack); expensive in-room internet but free wifi in the lobby; no free bottled water; airport limo service for 750CZK (vs ~600CZK for a taxi); good heating in december.

Great hotel, but service can improve

Hotel in fantastic location in the Old Town. Building looks like dated, but inside rooms are great. Had an fantastic bed with quality sheets. Overall, I have the say the service was so-so. The employees seem quite rude at times, so I think that is something they can improve on... customer service and knowing how to work with people. Overall, I would stay there again.

Great hotel, great location

The hotel is elegant, very clean and very well located for sightseeing Prague. The beds were divine and the spa and pool and facilities were beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide array of international foods and healthy eating choices. I was travelling with a group of 5 other women and we all felt safe and secure in the hotel and the surrounding area, even walking at night.

Be sure to take local cash (CZ crown) when you cross the Charles Bridge on your way to the castle as there are many local artists selling their wares along the way, and most take cash. You can buy original paintings, jewelry, cards, barrettes, etc.

Great Hotel

All the additional services that you want at this hotel will be very expensive. Very expensive. But, if you stick to your package and don't use the extras it is great. Internet use was $400 a week. A continental breakfast was $70. There are so many great places to eat across the street from the hotel that it doesn't matter what the hotel charges. I had to go out looking for free internet which is everywhere, but too inconvenient. The location is great. Everyone I met complained about loud drunks outside their hotels all night in the city center. I slept like a baby. The concierge will babysit you and take care of every little thing that you need.

Perfect location for exploring Prague

The hotel was lovely, and in a perfect spot for visting ALL of prague - it was in old town, a walk across the brige to Lesser Town, and just a couple of blocks to the metro and buses. It is not comparable thought to an American 5 * hotel. There were no ammenities without having to pay exorbitant prices (coke in the mini-bar was $10, etc. and the TV was basically useless.) I'd recommed the hotel, but just don't think you're getting 5*.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Window shop the first few days. Then go back and get what u want. Most everything is the same prices as in the states. Good food is everywhere. Make sure to contact your credit cards and tell them u will be useing your card overseas so they don't put a hold on it for possible fraud. Same with a overseas rate for your phone. Cheeper to use cell with a special rate program.
