Not a bad word to say!
Having just spent the weekend at the K&K, it's testament to how impressed I was that I'm already reviewing it. Everything was perfect from start to finish - the building is absolutely stunning, the room was comfortable (especially the enormous bed), and the whole place was spotless. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and when I informed them it was my boyfriend's birthday, we came back in the afternoon to find Champagne, a cake and a birthday card with their compliments. Breakfast is included and was excellent, and their airport transfers were great value and efficient. I can't recommend them enough, and if you're an art-nouveau fan, it's worth staying simply for the architecture. 5 stars, and well deserved!

Try Aldente on Vezenska if you get sick of sausages, they do really gorgeous Italian food, and Mlynec by Charles Bridge for a special occasion - be sure to ask for a table by the window

K&K Central Prague - Perfect!
First, a great location, just a couple blocks away from the crowds and noise of the old town square, and a short walk to the train station. Hotel is fully modern inside but keeping its art deco roots. Rooms are smallish but comfortable and perfectly adequate for a couple, and spotlessly clean. The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. My first trip to Prague, and I couldn't have asked for a better place, an excellent value.

Excellent hotel in a great location
I went to Prague for 3 nights and booked this hotel on [...]at the last minute and got a great rate. They gave me a remodeled room which was very nice and quite big per Europe standards. The hotel is located on a quiet street about a 3 minute walk from the Powder Tower which leads you to the Old Town Square. Right next door is a mini mart, good for water, etc. Front desk also acts as the concierge, they didn't have a lot of recommendations however they were very nice and helped with directions etc. Free breakfast was wonderful, it is until 11 am on weekdays and until noon on weekends. Airport pickup was steep but standard for hotels, on my way back I booked it online through a company that charged half as much. Overall a really good experience.

Very nice hotel in good location
The hotel was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing missing was a clock in the room and I would have liked a few more television channels in English.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
Take a tram or taxi to see the castle. We didn't realize the walk to see it was up such a steep hill. Be sure to read all of your tram or metro tickets because they have time limits and you can get a fine if you are over the limit, even the tram ride at the Petrin Hill Park, which was lovely. Better to get a daily or weekly pass than buy individual tickets for trams. They are good for buses and metro also. Also, the hotel can give you an estimate for what taxi rides should cost to where you are going in Prague. Best to ask before you get in the taxi what the price should be, even the recommended taxi service. Some drivers tried to charge almost twice as much for the same distance.

Great place, Great staff...
K+K was super. We actually had a bit of a problem upon check-in due to construction issues next door (the crew had busted a water pipe and taken out the water supply to 67 rooms). K+K quickly set us up with a corner room in their sister hotel just a 10 minute walk away. Did they make us walk? No chance, they brought a first class car and first class driver to deliver us to the other hotel. We slept well and helped ourselves to the mini-bar then moved back to the Central the next day (with the assistance of the same car, different driver). The breakfast is top-notch (probably the best I've had in Europe for an in-hotel spread). Our room was super quiet and restful and the pillows were nice for a change. Having spent quite a bit of time traveling through Europe in many countries this place is certainly up there (especially for the price).

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
All local tram tickets can be purchased from the front desk - it saves the time and hassle of trying to figure out the machines. Also, the front desk staff was more than willing to change large bills. Due to the exchange rate (18.9 czk -> 1 usd) the ATMs we encountered often spit out denominations of $2000 which can be difficult to change at vendors. The hotel staff always took care of this.
