Great price for a great hotel!
This hotel was perfect for our weekend getaway! The room was beautiful, clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful! Upon checking in we were greeted by the receptionist with a traditional Czech shot which was delicious! Then the receptionist explained on a map where we were and what trams to take where, VERY helpful! The hotel was a 30 minute walk to Old Town or a shorter tram ride (we choose to walk along the river). The only issue we had with the hotel was there was no real shower, just a bath with a removable head. Their breakfast was alright, but it was free none the less! All in all we had an amazing stay and WILL stay there again.

Long walk from hotel
We did a city tour with Free Tours that the hotel recommended and was just based on tips. The tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. He took us all around the city and showed us the main tour spots as well as shared history and fun facts about the places we were seeing. Later that same day we did a paid tour of the Prague castle for 10 euro. This was also amazing, again our tour guide was VERY knowledgeable and fun. Not only did she show us the castle but along the way she showed us a few churches, monasteries, and amazing views of the city.

Last minute weekend break
Staff were extremely helpful on reception. Hotel doesn't look much from the outside but don't judge a book by it' s cover! Tram stop nearby into city very handy and trams very regular. Rooms were comfortable and clean, and nicely decorated. Our attic room had a jacuzzi bath and shower head attachment but no shower screen/curtain. Were very grateful for the air-con. Lift bolted onto back of building was novel!

Long walk from hotel
Venice River Cruise recommended which starts under the Charles Bridge and gives a good overview of sights from the river. Horse and Carriage tour from old town square a bit of a waste of money. Can recommend the Ice Bar for novelty factor. Definitely buy day passes or a three day pass which covers all public transport travel very reasonably.

Great for couples
The hotel was fantastic we stayed three nights and it was clean, staff friendly and helpful. It was a 15 - 20 mins walk from the centre but easily done. Very very nice hotel out of the hustle and bustle and right next to the Vysherard castle which has the most stunning views of Prague. Definitely recommend this hotel especially if you want a friendly feel, boutique style and away from the crowds.

Lovely place in the New Town.
We spent four nights at the King Charles Boutique Residence. We were welcomed with a warming lemon liqueur which set the tone for the friendly and relaxed stay. Breakfast was included in our price and we made use of this once: fruit, bread, meats, cereals and fresh coffee. The room was warm with good heating (needed in December). It was nicely furnished with darkwood wardrobe and side tables. There was a safe provided for no additional cost. The bathroom was small but modern. Our shower was fitted with 'massage' settings and was usually lovely and hot. The staff were friendly and helpful and always happy to offer directions. The nearest tram stop is less than five minutes walk away and the nearest metro is about 10-15 minutes walk uphill. It's possible to walk into town along the riverbank which we did a coupld of times. This would only take approximately half an hour. We would happily stay here again but if you are less inclined to make the effort to explore out of the city centre it may not be for you.

Short walk from hotel
The local area is incredibly rich in history and is worth spending a couple of hours exploring. The river, a short walk away, is a local bonus.

Not 4 star, but good value
To echo other people's comments, this is definitely not a 4-star hotel. PROS: *The rooms are nice and full of character. *Marble floor in the bathroom and the jacuzzi bathtub *Free wireless (pretty good) *Free breakfast (pretty good too) CONS: *Single beds are TINY (I know this is standard with hotels in Europe, but still...) and I kept almost falling during the night. *You have got a view on the train tracks, with the noise that comes with it. Didn't bother me, but I could see how others may have a problem with it *What was really, really sub-par was service. Check-in was OK, but during brekfast, the cook had the TV turned on at full volume at 7am while guests were trying to enjoy their morning coffee. NOT COOL. Also, the hotel has no restaurant or room service! *Location really blows. Nothing charming about the neighborhood, and it's a 20-25 minute walk to the City Center. Sure, there's the tram, but I am just saying. OVERALL Now, I paid under 35 Euros for a room WITH breakfast, so I still think this is good value for the money. At that price, the only single room you can get is in a hostel filled with loud backpackers. My rating of 3-stars reflects the price-to-quality ratio on this, which is not bad at all.

King Charles Hotel. Prague
Very dissapointed with this so called 4 star hotel. Staff not very friendly, bedrooms dull, old fashioned & the beds very hard, so if you have a bad back, BEWARE. Also we were very unlucky to have very noisy people above us, partying till early hours, no-one seemed to care!! Food average but acceptable. We ordered a taxi from the airport, & back, we were kept waiting going back as no-one turned up!!! hense nearly late for our flight. To be honest I was glad to go home.

make very carefull consideration to stay here,,,,,
this hotel is much further away from town than explained, it also has no bar, no internet access, no air conditioning, we were also told we had a superior upgrade,, wow was that wrong,, the room was very basic, and dident have any sky tv as said in advert, the twin beds were screwed together with 8IN boards to make a double, but still had single bedding, in the 7 nights there the room was never vacmumed, or swept, we found 5 screws and about 15 staples around the floor over the week, some piercing our feet, before we found them, there was no hot water most evenings, we had to take a bath in same warm water each night, no shower at all, safe in room dident work also, there was 1 staff member who really stood out, been there the longest, could be at wrong hotel thou,,, much to good for this place, we wouldent ever reccomend this hotel to anyone else,, it was like staying in a nil star hostel, only much much worse,, nothing was like the ad said at all, tried to move on second day but couldent find anywhere that had vacancies in town that week,,,PLEASE BE WARNED, VERY VERY ROUGH AND READY, BUILDERS TYPE LODGINGS,,,, HOTEL,,,, NEVER,,,,,,,,,

Trivsamt hotell

Kodikas hotelli loistopaikalla
Mainio sijainti, ratikkapysäkki tosi lähellä eikä metrokaan kaukana. Tosi avulias henkilökunta ja mukava palvelu. Ilmainen wifi iso plussa! Huone tilava ja siisti, aamiainen hyvä. Lähiympäristössä paljon kauppoja ja ravintoloita, joiden ruoka kannattaa kyllä testata :) Suosittelemme lämpimästi!
