Meeting facilities
- Meeting Info
- On the top floor, you will find the Hotel Danmark meeting room. With a view of the city roof tops, this is one of the best views in the city. We offer many different meeting packages and services.
Dining
- Tivolihallen
- On the ground floor hotel has the Tivolihallen lunch restaurant. Tivolihallen is one of Copenhagens absolute best restaurants for open-faced sandwiches (smorrebrod), as well as one of the few places where you can still try the old Nordic delicacy called Klipfisk. In the evening the traditional Danish cuisine is on the menu. Try for instance "Rodgrod med flode". Tivolihallen is open on weekdays between 11.30 am and 4.30 pm. Tuesday to Saturday also evenings from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm.
- Dinner
- On the corner of Farvergade and Gasegade near the cosy little square called Vandkunsten and a mere 100 m. from Hotel Danmark is Reinwalds, a lunch restaurant hotel highly recommend. Reinwalds menu is inspired by the freshest seasonal ingredients. The cooking is Danish, with touches of inspiration from both the classical and modern French cooking. Monday to Saturday 2.00 pm to Midnight (the kitchen closes at 10.00 pm). Sunday and holidays - closed.
- Gammel Strand
- Near Frederiksholm canal, only minutes' walk from the hotel, is Gammel Strand and a chance to sip a lovely cafe latte outdoors or enjoy a relaxing stroll along the canal. The area offers a wide variety of eating out opportunities, from small cafes to gourmet restaurants. During the Summer, Gammel Strand hosts an exciting antique market and is one of the mandatory stops for the canal tours.

Great Location
With pricey hotels in Copenhagen, Hotel Danmark is a great in between choice: more than a hostel, less than bigger chains. Hotel was very helpful when my plane was delayed a full day, and they let my travel companion, who was coming in from Stockholm, check in for us. Room for two was good, though the single beds weren't great, but comfortable enough that I didn't suffer much sleep loss. Bring ear plugs--noise from the street could be loud, though it was near New Year's Eve so it could have been unusual. Very happy wtih the hotel overall, but the location is the best, Can't beat the downtown location next to City Hall and Tivoli. We watched the NYE fireworks from our window. And, it's easy to get to multiple public transportation locations. I wouldn't hesitate to stay her again for a future trip.

Great location, clean and friendly!
Great value for the location. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. Unfortunately, the room was TINY! The shower, bathroom sink, and toilet were mere inches away from each other, literally! I had to take a picture of it! Never seen anything anything like that. The internet in the room although free, was only available through an ethernet cable (not wireless) and was SO slow. Free WiFi was available in the lobby, but again dreadfully slow! Water in the shower never got very hot, which may seem a minor complaint, but not being used to the winters in Scandinavia, I am surprised what a difference a HOT shower really makes! Overall for the price, very satisfied, though. Clean and cozy with an EXCELLENT location near the heart of the action in beautiful Copenhagen!

Ordinary hotel with excellent location.
The facade of building, presentation as you enter the hotel, location, and the breakfasts are excellent at this hotel. What lacks is the service and cleanliness that should come with it. They say they are an eco-friendly hotel, which probably accounts for why the bathroom is never cleaned. Also, if you try and order something from the bar downstairs be patient; the person working the front desk also mans the bar and will ignore you. But for what it is worth, I still enjoyed my time at this hotel and its location is really superb.

If you like sushi with a great ambiance you should really visit Damindra. Locally owned, the food is prepared with the best ingredients and the sushi is delicious. You can make a reservation on their website, which is suggestible and be prepared for the bill.

Great choice for a traveler
The Danmark Hotel is located in the heart of Copenhagen. It is at a walking distance from the central train station and other points of interest. For a traveler, it is an ideal location. There are no frills, but it has the ESSENTIALS that one needs for a short, confortable stay. Staff are professional and caring and their breakfast for 125 DK is a good value. There are no luxuries or uniformed doormen. But the hotel is clean and confortable. And for the price, you can not beat it. Not suited for handicapped persons.

Walked to another (very disappointing hotel) with nary a "We're sorry".
Upon arrival we discovered that our room, prepaid for a month, had been given to someone else and we were being "walked" to their sister property. The sister property was nothing short of a major disappointment. One wall was covered in black mold and there were roaches in the bathtub. The room was directly above the restaurant and the noise (and cigarette smoke) came in through the open windows (no air conditioners) and it also faced the street so we were stuck with noise and smoke. We eventually gave up and moved hotels but have been refused any compensation by The Hotel Danmark. Overall, the whole experience was terribly disappointing.

GREAT LOCATION
Close to the main rail station, busses, etc. Several blocks away from Tivoli. The bus to the cruise port was in front of the Tivoli building. The staff was kind and informative. The room was clean with a small efficient bathroom. The breakfast was nice but expensive; there are many restaurants and USA fast food restaurants in the area.

Moldy bathroom
First thing noticed when entering room was the dirty carpet, second thing noticed in the bathroom was the black mold on the shower walls and bathtub. Not a pleasant beginning! We decided to skip the meager breakfast offerings and go to the Palace Hotel for the breakfast buffet there.
