First Vesterbro Hotel Copenhagen

Good location a few blocks from train station. Great breakfast, nice small lobby bar. Rooms away from the room are very quiet, with good room darkening curtains. Main complaint was room cleanliness which could be easily fixed. Nice modern shower had mold on the tile joints. Toilet dirty. Beautiful wood floor, but dust in the corners and under the bed was terrible.

Hotel staff very accomodating as we arrived prior to 3:00 p.m. check in time. Room smaller than expected by American standards but very clean. Would recommend to anyone staying over in Copenhagen in this central area.

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfasts. The beds are not for sore backs and the rooms have an awful smell from the bathroom drains

Good hotel. Noisy if overlooking street if the window is kept open which is how we prefferred to hqve it. We liked the hotel.

Did some research on this hotel and even looked on hotel's own web site, it completely different from photos. First of all it doesn't look or feel like a new hotel. More like it needs a renovation. The hall way smelled like smoke thank goodness my room didn't. We needed wake up call since there is no clock in the room. I got mine but my dad didn't. Good thing to his room to make sure he was awake. The hotel has its positive side, close to bus stops, walking distance to train station and some sight seeing places.

Stayed for one night in mid-May in a standard single room. Room was small but fine for one night. Convenient location near Copenhagen central station. The free WiFi was decent. Bed was comfortable. My room faced the inner courtyard so noise wasn't an issue.

I stayed for two nights. Staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The room felt very posh with hardwood floors and came with mini-bar, coffee/tea making, toiletries and nice TV cable selection. Our view looked inward into the courtyard, so not particularly exciting. The bathroom is typical for Scandinavia in that there is little separation between the shower (stall only) and the rest of the floor which will get wet. The free breakfast buffet was 7am - 11am which was superb and had almost every kind of breakfast item imaginable. The location is kind of touristy, being near Centralstation. There is a good Indian restaurant buffet just down the road, a couple of Chinese places, and one Italian place. None of these options, including the in-hotel restaurant and Indian restaurant, provided much in the way of vegetarian selection, and there was not much alternative within walking distance except a grocery store (Lidl). On the second evening I ordered room service and they failed to show up, so after half hour I called and they finally showed up and the service/meal were complimentary.

Hotel listed as 4 stars rating - should be more like 2 stars. Rooms are dated. Air conditioning was not functioning. Stayed at better other hotels in Copenhagen at even better room rates.
