Grand Paradise Bavaro and The Club Beach Resort and Spa - All Inclusive

I have been to Punta Cana very many times and this was by far the worst resort I have ever stayed at. I love Punta Cana and this hotel was such a disappointment. When I was booking my recent trip I read the reviews (which I dont usually trust) but still decided to go here anyways to save a few dollars. Customer service: When we arrived at the resort the staff at the front desk was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. When The bell boy was told to show us our rooms, we told him we preferred to carry our own bags. Because we didnt allow him to carry our bags so he could collect a tip, he refused to show us where our rooms were. We literally had to explore the resort with our heavy bags until finally we found our room. I could sit here and write 3 pages about all of the times they provided terrible customer service while on my vacation. The resort is so ghetto that they give you your remote for the tv when you check in and only give you 2 vouchers to eat at the sit down restaurants when you are there for 8 days. You even have to pay extra at certain restaurants which is completely ridiculous. Rooms: The rooms are extremely simple. They are clean but not the most comfortable. My husband and I had to switch rooms during our trip. The air conditioning was not working and they had staff come 3 days in a row and it still wasnt working. After getting frustrated once again they gave us another room. Our second room had ants in it and smelled terribly of cigarettes. Entertainment Staff/entertainment: The entertainment staff was awesome. They are all very friendly and want you to have a good time. My family and I went to the nightly shows which were also good and participated in a few as well. They have things going on all day on the beach for people to get involved. There was also karaoke on certain nights. The night club was not as fun. Bar staff/bars: There were plenty of bars on the resort. Some of the bar staff was friendly but not all. Francis from the lobby bar was awesome though. Restaurants: Food was okay but definitely not the best I have had in Punta Cana resorts. We ate at the steakhouse twice while we were there and that was the best food we had. What was REALLY annoying is the fact that we would have to take a shuttle to the main buffet every day for lunch and dinner because it is the only buffet that is open and it is all the way in the back of the resort. My overall experience on the vacation was good but that is only because I had fun with my family and was on the beach all day. If you are looking for quality, this is not the place to go.

food was far from excellent, most of the time it was cold and not very tasty at all. Staff service most of the time was very poor. We had to get our own drinks and had to complain about how long it was taking just to get our appetizers. Not very friendly waiters! Had alot of issues with my key, wasted 3 hours b/c they had to replace the whole door scanner. Other people in my group also had issues with thier door keys. Staff was not very friendly or happy. The entertainers and entertainment was not very good, danced off key and everything was very explicit. Will not reccommend this hotel to anyone or be returning!!

DON"T let the pics fool u. first off the wait for the room was too long, to check in, following that the ac in the room was not working @ all and the room that they gave us was right on the street of our window. we ask to switch. room 2 was not bad, on till day 2 ac not working, then to top it all off. there's a pe pin tom outside your window all day.. the hotel had even a bad smell through out the area and the sheets they change your room with. the hotel is broken down into two parts, the other does not have a beach but a pool bar. watch out again for time shares. i thought me and my girls stay was going to be very better then that..

19 yr old son had enjoyable vacation with parents need I say more.

I have been traveling to Punta Cana for the last 7 years and every new trip I do Punta Cana is a big disappointment. Mainly because the type of people is getting there, pary all day and night, loud, drunk, dirty, etc. If you are looking for a place to relax, forget it! The hotel offers what you paid. Rooms: OK, clean, friendly staff, tip try to be away from the pool view Food: Some goods some bads, no natural juice for breakfast, I think is tang... a good variety of everything but after 5 days all taste the same. A la carte restaurant, don't even bother to make a long slow line to book your restaurant. Animation: Guys are flirting all the time with girls. Beach: Amazing, the best! Most of the travelers are from Russia, French Canadian, Puerto Rico and locals (the worst drunk, loud and so dirty) I won't get back to this hotel ever, try to get something a little better.

This was my third time visiting the Dominican Republic, when I read the reviews on this place I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I thought "Well, people are more apt to complain than brag about something." I also read the posts that complained of sand in their rooms or their refrigerator not working and thought, "These are not decision breaking complaints, these are complaints that can be dealt with when you are spending all day at the beach and pool." With this being my third time I expected to have a shotty AC and some sand on the floor of my room, I expected the food to be a little different and there to be somewhat of a language barrier. However, I did not expect to change rooms twice (due to a smokey mildew smell, cracked bathtub, and a JUMPING fridge.) Our second room was much better. If we wanted a safe, it was an extra $3 a day which was a bummer. We were also told we could only make two reservations for dinner UNLIKE the **ALL INCLUSIVE** unlimited we were told. One restaurant was an extra 10 dollars. By our second day my sister had food poisoning and couldn't keep anything down for 36 hours. My mom, uncle, cousin, and a friend of the family was then sick. By the end of our vacation 15 of the 19 that came were sick in some way. (We expected this, but not as bad as it was.) A worker came to us and told us he is sick everyday and cannot eat the food. The pools were nice, however there were a few that were listed as **ADULT ONLY** kids flooded these pools and nothing was ever said. The swim up bars were full of kids playing football and jumping in front of you to get their own drinks. The bathrooms located by the pools were never cleaned. The lever to flush would just spin, it was like a porta potty. The restroom in the lobby was the same way. they had the lid off of the soap dispenser so you could "dip your hand" inside it to get soap. The electricity was shut off for a few hours a night o save money for electricity and during the day while people were out at the beach/pool. We couldn't keep a alarm clock. The staff was less than helpful. I expected somewhat of a language barrier like we had experienced before but this was crazy. Not one person let on they they understood us. The bartenders would serve the locals first and this the tourist. It was frustrating. The beach was AMAZING! If it weren't for the beach the whole vacation would have been ruined. There was hardly any seaweed and it wasn't very crowded. I weighted the pros and cons and this trip was not on my list of favorites. This is not just an angry review it's honest. Please weigh these reviews carefully!

This was my families 5th trip to Punta Cana and was the worst resort we ever stayed 19 friends and families went down and everyone either threw up or got the butt flu. Last 2 days there they bused in some locals and they over ran the place, the staff was not USA friendly all in all it sucked and I've been back 4 days and still have the butt flu

At arrival we were greeted nicely however nothing was explained to us about meals, safe in the room, Internet or where to find anything. The food was awful.

This was our first trip to Punta Cana and overall we had a pleasant trip. The best quality this hotel has was their ocean and beach access! the beach was a beautiful CLEAN white sand beach and the ocean was gorgeous crystal blue water that was safe and fun to swim in. We went swimming in the ocean every day for 7 days and loved it. The second best thing was the hotel's pools, they were big and clean, warm and we had fun swimming in them too. The room we had was a King bed ocean view and it had an ocean view and was spacious, but there could have bee more to it and the rooms were cleaned daily but the bathroom tile and grout need some extra scrubbing. The toilet had to be flushed 3-4 times just to get toilet paper to flush down, that was frustrating. The TV movie program (mosino) was ridiculous!!!! We got one movie ordered and working, we tried to get another movie but the system had no sound and sometimes the movie system wouldnt even come up! We complained and complained, they finally sent someone up to look at it, he was unable to get it working, We were pretty disappointed with the TV Movie system (Pay per view is 100x better).The food was good at first, but they serve the same thing over and over and over and it got old pretty fast. We were shocked that they did not have fresh fish and seafood to serve us, I was looking forward to the fresh seafood and shrimp but there was no shrimp!!! The fruit was excellent though. There was NO night life, they had 1 theater show a night, we went to one and it was good. There were plenty of young people here, just not a spot for night life. Overall we enjoyed the trip and made the best of it. We loved waking up everyday and going into the ocean swimming, that was the best part! We went in May and the weather was amazing, 90's every day and 98% humidiity, so all you wanted to do was swim, it got down to 70's at night and only rained 2 nights, but it was at night and the next day the sun was out!

For a family this is a wonderful resort, however the 2 prime weeks in March it is an ideal spot for college students to spend their spring break.
