Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Terrible experience. Wasted a whole day with moldy jacuzzi in my room. Poor customer service. Food was not that good. The beach water was very rough lots of waves. Do not go!

This is the 2nd time I have visited the Hard Rock. Service has declined. No running water the last 10 hr I was there. Toilets were dirty everywhere in the restaurants, rooms, and lobby as well. Mini bar, air conditioner, and tub did not work in my room. I think the hotel is too large and they have left customer service and maintenance slip. The beach was great, food is good, and the outer areas of hotel are beautiful. The lobby staff was rude speaking to customers about water issue. The lobby staff was also very rude in fixing maintenance issues or check-in/out. Overall the rest of staff (maids, bar tenders, servers) are very nice and they cater to their guests. If changes are made, prices are lowered, and more care is given to the hotel, I may return. Otherwise is too expensive for a 2 star quality.

I paid for the Rock Star Level Suite. Great room and grounds. I arrived on Wednesday, April 10th 2013 @ 4pm. Shortly after arrival, the power/electricity went out at the entire resort (all 1,700 plus rooms and restaurants). I decided to waste time to go to dinner at 630pm. Ate dinner in the dark the entire time. Had to put a cell phone on the table to see the food. Half way through dinner, power turned back on. I went back to my room to find that the Rock Start level suites were all still out. Could not see anything and had to use the bathroom in the dark. No flashlights were given and whenever you called receptionist or PR, there was a long hold and they said it would be reinstated "soon". To waste time I went to the Casino, their electricity was working, and I had to spend un-neccessary money because, I could not return to the room. At no point was the Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana team ever contacting us to gives us updates or offer a room. I returned to the room after 12am to find the power and electricity was still out in the Rock Start Suites building. 75 degrees at night. No electricity or power. No flashlights, pitch dark. I called the receptionist and asked for a room for the night. They demanded I walk all the way back up to the lobby to get one. I waited for 20 minutes before I got a "hospitality" room. Nothing in comparison to what I paid. When I called the next day for a make good, they offered to pay the tax on the items I bought ($87), haha. I said no and requested a massage priced at 459 for 2 people. They said okay but I needed to sing papers. I walked back up to PR and they would not let me take the massage without signing a foreign legal document taking away my First Amendment. I refused to sign in a foreign country and they refused to offer me anything and said "they could not help". The last day, the 3rd shift manage called and offered a $200 resort credit to use in the shops. I stated "no" and said it didnt compare to the $700 a day I spent on the room and resort. They said ok and nothing happened. HUGE language barrier and no need to buy Rock Star because they do not care how much you pay or spend on the resort. Horrible PR as well.

Not good. Rooms and beach are great. Maid service was wonderful. At check in they hold you captive and try to get you to commit to a meeting about joining the club. Front desk is mayhem! They are not very concerned about your service definetly below average. They sell you on ocean view. What a joke. I will not return.

We had a great vacation at the Hard Rock. The food was delicious at all venues. The decor was gorgeous, as were the pools. The beds were so comfortable that it was hard to want to get out. But if you go in the near future, keep in mind that the resort was just recently taken over by the Hard Rock. There is a lot of constuction going on around the resort with still a lot more necessary. If you bare this in mind and are able to overlook this, you willnlove it. And the spa ... that is a must do!! It is well worth the money. We had a holistic massage. Included in this is Hydrotherapy, a series that included steam room, sauna, mud room, and alternating pressure showers.

Pros - The spa was amazing. Also room was excellent and facilities were excellent. Cons - The food was Mediocre at best - would have expected a lot more from the hotel. Also, it was hard to get the correct answers from the staff.

From the start to the end, they kept insisting that I had paid for a second person (and at check out, they wanted the wrist band from that second person). I had paid for an upgraded room and services, not that you could tell. The room was very nice, but just like every other room. Service was rare. Room cleaning occured 3 times during the week. Security is tight, such that upon return from an excursion, they initially refused to recognize my wrist band and let me in. $20 later, I was passed through. At check out, while our conversation stated in English, once I started going through complaints, suddenly he no longer understood English or Spanish. Spa services are provided by poorly trained individuals that are going through the mothions, with no idea of what they are doing. Sterile or even clean equipment, don't bother even looking for it. If this hotel was in the states, the spa and most of the restaurants would be closed down by the health department. It is NOT a Hard Rock Hotel I would go to again. And had I not already been to other Hard Rock Hotels, I would not visit any other.

THIS RESORT IS TOTALLY OVERPRICED.....ESPECIALLY FOR PUNTA CANA WHICH IS USUALLY AN INEXPENSIVE DESTINATION. A WEEK WITH AIR WAS 2000 PP FROM NEWARK. COULD STAY AT ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL RESORT FOR HALF THE PRICE AND HAVE AN EQUALLY GOOD TIME IF NOT BETTER. THIS IS NOT THE ATLANTIS! WHICH IS ANOTHER OVERPRICED RESORT. BOTTOMLINE ITS NOT WORTH 2 GRAND PP PER WEEK.

that hotel is suck, they put my family at first floor which under the ground level, we can't see any thing but the sky and we can not upgrade even we would like to pay for it or move to the second floor so we can see some pool view or garden view. this is not what I pay for. I pay for partial ocean view, not sky view. that is the worse hotel I never have before. I will never stay at that Hard Rock again in my life even free. see you no more, suck hotel Hard Rock

Over all we were very satisfied. The staff was the most friendly we have ever experienced! Its seems the only two draw backs were, the cost for shopping for that little something, and the time it took to book anything, roomservice, spa, check in, & out etc.... They need more staff for such a large resort.
