Eveything was great !!!!!! The staff was always very accomadating. Weather was fantastic.

The resort is very well maintained. Beautiful grounds, clean rooms and facilities. Great entertainment, dance lessons on the beach, water aerobics, live music each night and other activities. We really enjoyed this part. Things that need improvement: Restaurant service is not good. The worse experience we had was at the Japanese steak house. Food was overcooked, everything was cold and didn't taste at all like it should. Drinks and service at the pool bar not good. Beach towels need to be replaced as they are overused and stained. Toiletries should include conditioners. Its a basic thing in a resort of this scale. Also lights in the bathroom need to be redone. Impossible to do the makeup.

The hotel is located in a wonderful beach. The staff was very kind and customer oriented. The food and restaurants can improve, nothing impressive. The facility is really nice and comfortable.

Just got back Dec. 31, '12. Our 11th Anniversary trip, and it was excellent. 20 minutes from airport, the greeting was great ( they tell you "welcome home", took us with our luggage to the room. We didn't have to wait for it. Easy to get towels for the beach - get out by 8 or 9am to get the beach chairs you want - then you can go work out, eat breakfast, etc. Somewhat small resort which we liked. Food was very good, service was good. Attached to the NOW Larimar (it's a family resort)- which we were concerned with, but it's actually a positive overall. It adds some nightlife and a few more restaurants to pick from. DO the lobster dinner on the beach - incredible all you can eat grilled lobster. If you go on a trip like this to relax, be on the beach, enjoy the ocean(no rocks like Riviera Maya), eat good food, enjoy some drinks, and have a nice comfortable room, you will not regret going here. If you want 5 star dining, top shelf liquor, and can't go with the flow at all, go to a Ritz. Enjoy!

Very quiet and a perfect place to relax. With 2 sister hotels on grounds it gave you a chance to go to a more crowded scene and than go back to relaxation just foot steps away

The hotel was beautiful especially the pool areas. We had a lot of fun interacting with couples from all over the world. The resort adjacent to the property called NOW Lamar had better food and entertainment. The pillows in the room smelled mildew and the food wasn't good.

Hoping to be in a resort that would have Wi-Fi without any extra charge, not paying for it. Choice of restaurants servicing at lunch time, not always buffet. Room with lower temperature standards, not 21c. Being able to pass by the reception area without been approached by a salesman. Location and amenities are very good but needs help in other areas.

Overall experience was fine not great not terrible. Would recommend based on location and intention to lay on beach and relax.

We had a wonderful week in paradise. The hotel was amazing and gorgeous! The staff were all super friendly, and the food was amazing! Would highly recommend going with a ouple small things to keep in mind - one, ignore the person that tries to talk to you when you are waiting for your room to be ready, they are trying to get to you do a time share which could be a great deal but I really don't want to listen to one of those while I'm on vacation! Also, our room was very damp and did not get very cool - we didn't realize there was something wrong and thought all the rooms were like this, until we were in a friend's room and realized our air conditioner was broken! If your room feels comfortable or a bit warm and damp - ask for a new room or ask to have a/c fixed immediately...it's not just the tropics.
