worse experience
Local beach is next door and you have no idea what you can see floating in the shallow water. Rodents all over the first floor rooms going in and out.

OK
The Hotel was definitely nothing to compare with Punta Cana. But, the price of it was much cheaper as well. The only plus of this hotel is that is located about 20 min. from La Capital and it was close to everything. But otherwise the food, and the drinks were not good at all. I would not go again, I would prefer staying in a hotel that's not all inclusive and buy my food and drinks outside. Service was not bad at all.

MY FIRST TO BOCA CHICA
I was a little concerned after reading the reviews and all the things other people were saying about this hotel I told myself remember this is a non developed country if you want the Ritz Carlton and all the amenities pay $375.00 per night, you get what you pay for. My room was big did not watch TV because I was gone all the time at the beach on weekend they block off the street and party .I had a blast the food was good the drinks all the people breakfast on the water so what the French toast was not hot I was on vacation I am planning right now going back at the end of April cant wait.

Perfect Spring Break
This all-inclusive hotel is about 15 minutes from the main Santo Domingo airport and about 40 minutes from the city itself. On the south side of the island Hispaniola, the beach is sandy and the Caribbean Sea is calm and blue. Be Live Hamaca benefits from being sandwiched between the Presidential section, which is more exclusive and the Pelicano Restaurant, which is more expensive. As with resorts of this type, the main restaurant has an abundance of choice and never seemed to run out of options. The entertainment co-ordinators were enthusiastic without being pushy. One word of caution, when you walk to explore Boca Chica, be prepared to use the phrase, "No, gracias!" The motorbike riders are insistent and their resolve to pester continues if they know you are an English speaker. Once I had mastered this, I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the area. I took the cheap local bus to Santo Domingo a few times with no problems at all.

Nightlife tip:
In Hotel
The on-site disco was great. I was able to watch the local experts dance bachata, merengue and salsa before attempting them myself. The music was a clever blend of typical latin dance tunes, modern latin music, such as Pitbull and "classic" disco.

Niiiiiiice.
Ok this is my review. Pardon the grammar I'm on my fone and rushing. The hotel is great N the amenities are great. Clean rooms and most of all clean beds and bathrooms. Wat this place is for is more or so older people or couples. There is plenty to do at the resort but I was bored cuz I went alone. The tours are trash and over priced. I spent most of my time out and away from the resort which I don't really recommend. There is soooo much more to the island u don't get to see at the resort or expensive tours. I'm not knocking the resort in any way. It's perfect for it.

not so bad, it seems like they are expanding and not paying to attention to the existing customers. A bird in hand is better than two in the bush

Do it!
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying at this resort. It was very safe and the staff was welcoming and friendly. DEFINTELY worth the money- includes unlimited alcoholic beverages, dinner at superb restaurants on site (must book early! I suggest you book reservations as soon as you check in), and a buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner that is a full spread! You can also call a number from your room any time if you need anything at all. Now that's service. Take the time to walk around the resort and you'll find more amenitites than you know what to do with (mini golf, swim up bar, hot tub, tennis courts, gym, etc.) It's also worth the extra 20 or so dollars to go deluxe ocean view. Enjoy :)

We went ahead and booked the transportation option towards the end of the transaction- $27 got us from the airport and back without any hassle whatsoever. The company was there when we arrived and ready to take us to the airport when we departed without any issues. Call to confirm before you go and you wont have to worry about transportation (which can be a real drag)
