Excellent - apart from food being uninspiring.
Also limited wi-fi access in the hotel. Nowadays that should surely be available in the bedrooms and should not incur an additional charge.

a fantastic and mesmerising hotel, especially at night with the coloured lights and belly dancer by the pool. our favourite hotel in our travels so far. most staff very friendly with a very basic grasp of English. was very difficult to communicate with staff at front desk.

Again this is a comparison with the Sheraton because we only stay there and there is no Sheraton in Aswan. We think for the price you pay it is worth it. Dr Clarence

I was really, really pleasantly surprised by this hotel considering its cost. The room itself was quite basic, as I expected, but I was pleased to find it wasn't so much a "room" as a little bungalow-type accomodation within a surrounding of beautiful gardens right on the Nile. Very nice atmosphere! The only slight disappointment was that the free wi-fi in the lobby was not working when I was there; the hotel staff thought it was probably a problem with their router.

There is a main building as well as a number of associated structures which comprise of blocks of bungalow style rooms. The building is set in a pleasant garden. This property is located on its own island in the middle of the Nile, approached only by water taxi.

Good hotel for Aswan as there are few to choose from. It is too bad that buying bottled water from the hotel bar costs 3 to 5 times the amount that it does in the local grocery stores! This is a pet peeve of mine. Tourists are advised to drink bottled water, brush their teeth with it etc as water in Egypt is not all sterile! If the hotels would charge a fair rate for their food/beverages, maybe they would see more people dining in their restaurants!
Getting to and from the hotel is by a small ferry boat which is generally available every 10 minutes, sometimes we waited far longer than that. Place was clean, quiet and pools nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property of the hotel is actually quite big and very well kept up. If you are ok with eating at the hotel and it's restaurants during your entire visit, it is ok. Otherwise, it takes a little more effort to go back into town for additional eating options.

The hotel was built in 2003/ 2004.
We are located on the Corniche El Nil.
In front of us are the gardens of Al Salam and from our Hotel you will have beautiful views of the gardens,
The Nile with many cruises and sailing boats, and across the River you will see the Tombs of the Nobles.
The tombs are flood light in the evening and are quite spectacular.
Our roof garden and cafeteria has one of the finest views in all Aswan, where you can see the glorious sunset over the Nubian desert.
We are close to the colorful local markets
We also have our Bazaars within the Hotel precincts where you can browse for local Nubian and Egyptian products.
Many people, both locals and visitors, love to stroll on the Corniche in the cool of the evening.

If there is a hotel that makes you feel you are coming back to home, this is the one. What they are lacking in hardware (building/rooms are a bit dated), they certainly make up 100% more in service. Free meals, smiling face, and going an extra mile to help someone who came to Aswan the first time. Compared to staying in a high end hotel that has every luxury, I would rather stay at this 'home'
