To get to this hotel, you must take the hotel boat which leaves every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Be careful as our taxi driver tried to convince us that the boat did not operate all the time. [...] The lobby and pool were very luxurious, but the room was shabby, and the air conditioner turned on but never cooled down the room. The Italian restaurant was very run down, and the food was of poor quality. While we were relaxing in our room, the hotel travel desk called us (unsolicited) and tried to convince us to go sightseeing with his company. Overall, I do not recommend staying here, especially since you're stuck on the island with few options for dining.

If you're looking for a 'get away from it' time - then this is gorgeous. Great pool and facilities, good choice of restaurants and the water taxi/shuttle over to the main town of Aswan is convenient.

we contracted this hotel 8/19/2009 for two beds. I can't believe that when we arrived they did not have a room available for us with two beds. Although I do not understand arabic I could tell from body language that there was one available but they did not want to give it to us. Also the view UGH. They told me it was a Niel View. It was is the back of the building overlooking a swamp like view. The room was all outdoor balcony and the room was not the regular room. This was awful! Carpet??? I needed to wear flip flops so I wouldn't get dirty feet. There was not one thing that lived up to my expectation of a 5 star hotle. Lying staff, small and filthy room. I stayed in economy rooms is Cairo and Luxor and they made this place look like palaces.

Good hotel for Aswan as there are few to choose from. It is too bad that buying bottled water from the hotel bar costs 3 to 5 times the amount that it does in the local grocery stores! This is a pet peeve of mine. Tourists are advised to drink bottled water, brush their teeth with it etc as water in Egypt is not all sterile! If the hotels would charge a fair rate for their food/beverages, maybe they would see more people dining in their restaurants! Getting to and from the hotel is by a small ferry boat which is generally available every 10 minutes, sometimes we waited far longer than that. Place was clean, quiet and pools nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The property of the hotel is actually quite big and very well kept up. If you are ok with eating at the hotel and it's restaurants during your entire visit, it is ok. Otherwise, it takes a little more effort to go back into town for additional eating options.

el hotel esta en medio de una isla en el nilo, hay q ir en un barquito q sale cada 15 minutos durante todo el dia. es super tranquilo. M e ayudaron a reservar la excursion a abusimbel y me dejaron hacer check out mas tarde sin ningun problema. las habitaciones estan un poco "gastadas", pero todo funciona bien.

Excellent hotel à tout point de vue à l'exception de la restauration (déjeuner et diner) où le choix est d'une qualité médiocre et hors de prix.

Il est vrai que l'hôtel est sur une île, en retrait du village. Nous y avons trouvé un avantage plutôt qu'un inconvénient du point de vue de la tranquilité, de l'espace et de l'air pur. Le bateau passeur est par ailleurs très efficace.
